Green Croft, The Strand, Saundersfoot June 2023. Lovely house, great location, close to beach and town but also nice and quiet.We had a lovely week stay however there were some points that let it down, mainly poor cleaning and maintenance.Kitchen wasn’t cleaned well, bits of food left on crockery so this is obviously not checked meant we had to wash everything before using it. Dishwasher not the best. Old water left in coffee machine. Tumble dryer doesn’t dry well and there are no pegs for the washing line, or anywhere to dry inside, could do with and airer.Cold bath tap handle kept falling off, there is a screw missing inside.Slat broken on the pull out bed that looked like it had been repaired previously.No property manual or information supplied, just had to find things and try to work them out.Sign said not to put black bags outside because of seagulls, but exit email said to remove rubbish but there were not enough bins provided so had to leave rubbish/recycling inside.Generally the house is very nice and comfortable for 5/6 adults, but let down by poor cleaning and lack of information.

An absolute amazing place to stay 10 out of 10 for location and comfort of this wonderful property.

It was a lovely cottage on a working sheep farm. The couple who owned the farm were just lovely and so helpful. The walks were great and it wasn't right on the coast, so we didn't have to battle traffic all the time. We did go to various coastal towns during the holiday as they were all easily accessible from the cottage. We would go again tomorrow.

The property on the Strand was lovely and the view to die for. Unfortunately the owner of the property above ours began a complete renovation the day after we arrived. The noise was pretty unbearable for 2 days but died down a bit after that. I rang Powells to try & find out out how long the reno was going on for & some general info (rather than make a complaint) but they weren't really interested. I didn't hear a thing from them all week apart from the standard text to remind us to vacate the flat on time! Zero customer service & I definitely wouldn't use them again. I only hope the owners are aware of how poorly their agency (which probably doesn't come cheap) deals with customer enquiries...

The house was lovely but the interaction with Powells staff left a bitter aftertaste. The safety stair gate we requested was faulty and although we called and send messages no one came during the entire week of stay. You can imagine how this affect a stay with an active toddler. One of the rooms had pretty shutters, what a shame they weren't blocking the light and the kids couldn't sleep there after 5 am. We moved them to the spare beds in the attic and thought problem solved. Then, our deposit was withhold without any notice from the company. It took me over 2 months and 4 chats, calls and emails to get some of it back. We got charged for the extra bed sheets and a carpet stain in a room no one could sleep at. I might not be as disappointed if I wouldn't pay a premium already and the service was swift. But it was far from it and thus I am not intending to ever hire through Powells / Original cottages again.

Stayed at Lych Gate cottage 12/19 May 3 couples. Beautiful house, clean n had everything we needed for a weeks break. So much space in every room, Sal the owner lives next door n very helpful, highly recommend this property. Short drive to all the beaches n places of interest. If you are looking for food in the evenings then the Corvus Inn at St clears is the place to go, fantastic staff n the food is top class n believe me you won't come out of their feeling hungry, large portions on everybody's plate, also got to mention Molls bistro in the town , fantastic breakfast n wonderful staff. On our next visit to West wales we will definitely be staying at Lych Gate Cottage

The apartment was not fit for purpose, unclean,uncomfortable, toilet shower not working till we complained. Bed uncomfortable, didn't get inside the bed, slept on top. No room in the bathroom, struggled to get a shower. Totally spoiled our holiday.
