David Dixon ..in reply to your review I am sorry to see that your mum has totally mis understood what I said to her the quote for the repair was for both the ring and the brooch together I also informed her the brooch did indeed have small Diamond chips in it and the repair may cause some to become loose or dislodged when undergoing work and my advice was not to have a repair done I hope this clarifies your misunderstanding

I honestly don't understand the shockingly poor reviews of this man. Perhaps he is not the best 'people person' but I could not fault his work. The band of my heirloom engagement ring snapped, and David offered the quickest turnaround and most reasonable price to repair it. The work is BEAUTIFUL! My jewellery was hugely scratched and not only did he repair the ring, he also removed those scratches and brought it BACK TO LIFE. I could not be more happy!

I wanted to know the size of some rings they had in the window. Man in the shop asked if I wanted to buy today otherwise he was too busy to check. The guy needs to learn some people skills, I'll go and spend my money elsewhere.

First of all this is a good local traditional independent shop.Mr D. Connolly is very friendly and helpful which gives good service.I had some jewelry that I needed to sell and he gave me a fair price and paid on the day.He also offers plenty of other related services, one of which I will take up.I would visit again.

Great selection of jewellery. I found exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price and very happy with my purchase. I didn't find the owner rude at all. Perhaps his people skills could be improved but for me, finding exactly what I wanted was important. We're none of us perfect. Give the guy a break and enjoy the jewellery selection - that's what matters.

My mum went in to ask about a ring resizing and was quoted £175, about twice as much as elsewhere!He also told her an old brooch didn't have any diamonds, when it definitely does.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I recently had David send off a chain for repair, it was a really fair price, it was ready for pick up when he said it would be and we had a really nice chat.Couldn’t fault the service I received. It was the first time I’ve used this business and I will definitely use it again and would happily recommend it to others. Thanks David for your help.

I went in there to enquire. The shop was unkempt. The creature behind the counter had an odour of stale fags and damp urine and did not recognise the Omega brand watch. Avoid this place......
