I stayed at The Wild Hotel with a group of girlfriends for a 24th birthday. We had the best weekend ever. Such a great location. We were so close to the South Downs, which is just beautiful and only a 15 minute drive from Brighton! Best of both worlds really. The local pubs are just a walk away and serve good food and beer. Toby was very welcoming and friendly, accommodating to our needs. We had two bell tents which were very comfortable, we all had great nights sleep and woke up to the view of the downs. I was pleasantly surprised at the shower facilities, instant hot water and good water pressure. We will definitely be staying here again! Bring on next year!

My young son and I had a lovely time in one of the most beautiful locations you could imagine.Waking up to the wonderful views is something to behold. The host. Sorry I can't remember his name was very charming and he gave us a very good tip for food at The Royal Oak Pub. Which was in walking distance and well worth it with their large beer garden.having read the review below . We found the ground more than suitable even with our micro tent and equipment ..We'll be back but next time with the whole family. Thanks .L

Do you fancy injuring your foot or ankle? Then this is the campsite for you! The field has more holes in it than a crumpet with long grass that means you cannot actually see the ground, so every step is a game of ankle injury-roulette. It also makes an extremely unpleasant surface to sleep on if you use a foam or self-inflating mat rather than an airbed. I have slept on a pebble beach with a thin self-inflating mat and it was more comfortable than using a thick self-inflating mat on this field. The website talks about a trailer unit for toilets but in reality there are just 2 portaloos (which to be fair were at least kept reasonably clean). I prefer low-key natural campsites but this is the worst camping experience I've had by far, especially as it is called 'The Wild Hotel' which isn't exactly evocative of '2 portaloos and 2 shower huts in a field covered in holes. I'm glad I didn't pay £600 for a teepee

Spent a fantastic weekend at the Wild Hotel in the tipis. Toby and Melissa were so accommodating and the glamping was five star. We found the loos to be clean and well looked after and the beds were comfy. I note one of the reviews below is very negative but our experience was quite the opposite and we will have fond memories of our weekend.

We’re seasoned campers, choosing to camp on farm-based campsites, rather than the more well-equipped ‘commercial’ campsites.Given the price of the pre-erected tents (we paid £110 per night for a basic four person tent, but some go up to £600/night for a full glamping experience), we expected parity in terms of quality and services with other farm campsites we’ve stayed at (for example, Teddy’s Farm in the New Forest). We paid over £200 for two nights, to sleep on damp/dirty beds, to use a portaloo which didn’t flush (there were only two), to not be able to have a warm shower (one of the two showers didn’t even work) and to camp in a field that was well overdue a mow and was full of potholes. There are far better farm-based campsites to stay on for the same money. For a location with so much potential, the wild hotel falls very short.

Amazing experience I highly recommend I had the most beautiful weekend staying here. The tipis and so nice and decorated so cool! The toilets are great and so are the showers. I couldn’t recommend enough! The owner Melissa is the most lovely host aswell, I will always support great small business like this!☺️

Unfortunately the field is littered with holes making it unstable to walk on. Guessing cows use it during the off-season. This resulted in one of our group having a fall and hitting their head on a secured gazebo pole. Suffered a large lump and bruised head but could have been much worse. Two dirty portaloo's, two showers (one didn't have hot water) and a washing up station. Very basic amenities. There was a gypsy style wagon that looked like it had been converted into a sauna but it was locked. I didn't see any evidence of the wash room shown on the website. There are several Tipis and Bell Tents located around the field and some were in a state of disrepair or being used for storage. Not a good look or advertisement. Overall the campsite looked neglected and I wouldn't recommend.

Had an amazing weekend here the other day for my birthday. We had about 100 people and the place to ourselves and had a great time. The way the teepees are around the hammock and firepit in the middle is really cool. Thanks Toby and Melissa the campsite managers and Rani the chef. Brilliant.

Toby was such a wonderful host to our very large group. The site is in a beautiful part of the world, and our bell tent and camp was perfect. We are a family with youngish kids and they had a total ball. Thanks for accommodating us!
