Here to ring on the six tower bells. The bells were cast in 1828 by Thomas II Mears with the tenor weighing 630 kg. Easy going bells.

We visited the cafe at St Helen's church, it is a very pleasant room with fresh flowers on each table. The coffee and hot chocolate were nice and very reasonably priced. The cafe serves sandwiches, scones, teacakes and bacon and sausage barm cakes. ( resist the smell if you can) A lovely addition to the tea room is the opportunity to buy handcrafted wooden articles. There are long walking staves , beautiful wooden bird boxes, and adorable hedgehog homes, ( in wood, and very reasonably priced.) A really pleasant place to visit. Dogs are also welcome.

A regular stopping off point to enjoy a cuppa and cake at the community cafe. Friendly people to chat to, craft items for sale.. Open Wednesday to Sunday. Local walks and dog friendly.

I used to be in the choir 50 years ago. Some of my family are buried here. It's a special place.
