Lancaster House

Lovely hotel next to Lancaster university. We had a conference. The food was delicious. Rooms were huge, big enough for a family. Would visit again.

Excellent food and first rate service.We took my cousin there for an evening meal, but live locally, so no need for an overnight stay.

This is a great place to stay. The staff are friendly and the rooms are ni e. We took our dog with us and they supplied a dog bed and a goody bag. You can't take dogs into the restaurant but they'll set up a table in the lounge so you can eat from the restaurant. They have a doggie menu . Would stay here again.

Hotel next to the university - for the price would have expected a little more attention to detail. TV remote did not work, no tissues in the box, and tiny bath towels. Bed very comfortable though, room clean, and regular buses into town. Oh, and they charge guests £12 parking a day which is on top of room cost

I write this review whilst staying at the hotel.Positives:Conveniently located from the Lancaster University. You can literally walk across from the hotel to the campus.Range of drinks in the bar.Quiet hotel so you can enjoy the peacefulness.Complementary Bottle of water, tea coffee making facility and cookies provided in the room.I am disappointed with the overall quality of the hotel due to:My room had no air con or fan provided so had an uncomfortable sleep.No hot water in the wash basin tap.Broken tiles in the bathroom.No mini fridge in the room.Bedside lampshades not working.You have to pay additional £12.50 for the car park if the hotel is booked through other websites, free if booked direct.

Nice hotel, breakfast was good, staff have been friendly throughout from reception, the bar, breakfast and housekeeping. Lots of parking, easy to find and does have EV charging.Situated on the edge of Lancaster uni so lots of facilities.Nice pool and spa facilities.Would return

Visited on the first weekend of December for the first time. Very nice hotel. Clean and well maintained rooms. Lovely pool and spa with an outside hot tub. Sauna is lovely but not hot enough but the steam room was fine. We dined in the hotel and after being told only the 8.30 slot was available that we were the only ones in there. The food was amazing though and we enjoyed our meals very much. Staff were lovely and the only disappointment was being charged £12 to park which no mention of was made to us. If you book direct you don't get charged so obviously this is a way of getting the Booking. Com fee back. As we wouldn't have know about this hotel without Booking. Com they should be grateful to them. Never been charged in this way by any other hotel so it's a shame to annoy guests in this way

Ground floor bedrooms are very dog friendly. Fine. Unfortunately my room had not been cleaned properly for quite a while. Big dirty patch on way in on floor, hairs on bed. Bathroom floor, well, let's just say it hadn't been cleaned properly after a doggie accident.The restaurant however, served amazing food. I unusually had 3 courses, and each was just perfect!
