To really appreciate the Coast to Coast walk, the last thing you need to be doing is interpretting maps, working out whether or not you are lost, and where is our accommodation for tonight. This is why Sue and I choose Badger Adventures guided walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay.It allowed us to focus on the dramatic glacial scenery of the Lake District, the rolling meadows, high fells, and heather moors of the Yorkshire Dales, and the solitude of the North York Moors, only broken by the occasional grouse shooting.A big thank you to Ritchie, Paul and Chris for making it an unforgetable adventure.

Badger Adventures organized and led a wonderful 16 day Coast to Coast trek for our group of nine Canadian friends. Their staff were friendly and very professional in every way. The accommodation they organized was first rate in all the villages and towns at the end of each day. The food was always terrific. I highly recommend both the trek and using Badger Adventures to organize and lead you. Bravo

I had an excellent experience going on the Kilimanjaro trip (Lemosho route) with Badger Adventures. The trip was well planned and organised to a fine detail. The crew experienced, professional and with a healthy sense of humour which was needed especially on the last few days.For those who appreciate the detail in reviews:Tents and sleeping arrangements: we had both single and double tents with mattresses provided for extra cushion. We also brought our own inflatable ones so it was nice and comfortable and warm.Food: the best part of the trip. We had a wide variety of food options to accommodate everyone’s dietary requirements. We had vegans and vegetarians in the group who were pleased with variety of dishes and their flavour. The rest of us are still dreaming of that smoked chicken and barbeque pork!We were served hot beverages (coffee, tea, chocolate) in the morning as a wakeup call – luxury in my books. This is on the top of regular “tea time”.Safety: absolutely impressed with credentials and experience of the team. We had a doctor accompanying us at all times which gave us the extra reassurance in case someone needed medical assistance.Result: thanks to the training and guidance by Ritchie, the Chief Badger, we all made it to Stellar point. 11 out of 12 made it to the top, Uhuru point.I highly recommend Badger Adventures and certainly looking to join them one some other trips. Peru here I come!

Badger Adventures' 16-day Coast to Coast Guided Trek was the most carefree vacation I've ever had. My daily to-do list was short: 1-Walk, 2-Eat, and 3-Sleep. Badger Adventures took care of everything else, and it was flawless. I had not expected full-time logistics support as backup to our excellent walking guide, but Badger -- often Chief Badger Ritchie Evans himself -- made sure that every detail was taken care of, sometimes going above and beyond to attend to individual needs.I had selected Badger Adventures after extensive research; their 16-day guided Coast to Coast was the only one I could find that didn't have at least one 20-mile day, and the only one that included all meals. Having spent very little beyond the package cost, I am confident that Badger Adventures' trip was excellent value compared to similar trips. The group size was ideal (there were 7 of us; max is 8), and as a solo traveler, I especially enjoyed the camaraderie, both on the trail and after hours.On the trail, guide Paul was knowledgeable and fun. The Coast to Coast is not well signposted, but with a guide, we were free to just enjoy the walk and the scenery. We encountered some very wet weather, especially in the first days, and Paul got us safely across streams and through bogs. When high water made the official route virtually impassable, the Badger team smoothly arranged a detour (which was spectacularly beautiful - see photo).The lodging was wonderfully varied, from centuries-old pubs to a modern spa and a farmhouse B&B; all were charming in their own way, and all promoted the sleep item on my to-do list. Most had beautiful views to boot. Several great places would not have been accessible without van support. It was a treat to be able to select from the full menu at meals, instead of the limited choices usually offered on group holidays.I had wanted to walk the Coast to Coast since I heard about it on my first trip to England in 1990, so my hopes were high; this experience with Badger Adventures was more fun than I dared dream.

Coast to coast, a fabulous experience with amazing guides and most helpful van driver and bag carrier. The accommodationd were fabulous as were the meals. I highly recommend Badger Adventures if you are thinking of doing the C2C. I’m positive any of their other tours would be just as well organised.

I had the pleasure to Guide on the Wainwright Coast to Coast with Andrea from Australia and Lynda from New Zealand which Badger Adventures organised all the Accommodation throughout the 16 days and had a Support Vehicle on route each day. Badger Adventures lead 7 women on the C2C in September 2023. Our experience is one that was simply the best! The accommodation, food at the pubs, organisational skills, our driver who transported our luggage, our guides were fabulous. The C2C is not very well sign posted so a guide for us was the best option.

Generally okay experience with Badgers and Chief Badger Evans. Although, service could do with a lot more improvement in its USP in comparison to other Hiking groups with similar services.Treks were good, although started off from easy to difficult.
