Never fails to disappoint - lovely atmosphere with great staff and good menu choices.Great place to stop for a coffee, wine or a meal.Relaxed and friendly - would highly recommend.

Really lovely food and good service. I can highly recommend the ribs.Weather was ok so we sat in the courtyard. This is not table service like the restaurant. Very pleasant area to sit.

We got a warm welcome from friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. The meal was cooked fresh and to die for. Definitely recommend

I had the Sea Bass with Samphire, Bacon and New Potatoes, it was superb. We were very well looked after, there was a lovely atmosphere there today too.

Ye olde building was delightful and the staff were friendly. Food was OK, a good standard of pub essentials but not stand out

A friendly pub with lots of atmosphere. We had seabass with capers, beans and new potatoes or chips. For dessert I had chocolate fondant, ice cream and raspberries and my friends had Apple and caramel tart, and raspberry sorbet. All the food was delicious.

The ambiance was very nice on a cold winter's day. But the welcome was hardly warm and continued chilly! The food was lack lustre. Menu items were not available and those that were quite poor. The fishcakes were fairly tasteless and the accompanying vegetables undercooked. Such a shame when a little more care in the kitchen and a dose at charm school for the staff could make such an improvement.

The Crown Framlingham Restaurant
The Crown approaches the platonic ideal of a pub. Dropped in here on a hunch with the family after visiting the castle, it was friendly, lively, a great building, various options for seating in different rooms, outside tables front and back. Good trad pub food, good beer. I cannot fault it. Considering cashing everything in and renting a room here for the rest of my time.
