Clay with Carole

We had our team building at 'Clay with Carole'. Talia and Sarah were fantastic, also so friendly and knowledgeable.With the lack of skills from us, they were on hand to help and to also make sure we would create something that we were happy with.We had lots of giggles, such a laugh. It was a fantastic afternoon and has given me the bug to want to make more.Thank you Talia and Sarah

Carole is just brilliant! She helped 3 complete beginners throw our own pots and decorate them in our own style. We’re now all hooked on throwing pots so we’ll be back soon!

We had a wonderful time at our Clay With Carole Pottery Wheel Throwing afternoon as a family group for our mums birthday. Carole was an excellent teacher and gave us the appropriate level of guidance and support considering we were all beginners to using a pottery wheel. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon and we all want to book in to do it again! I would highly recommend it for anyone/any group looking to do something creative and rewarding with their weekend. And it was great that we all were able to successfully make a pot to take home (ready to collect in a couple of weeks time).

We had a 'couples Ghost session' at Clay with Carole during August 2021 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary (china) when I and my husband learned the art of throwing clay on a pottery wheel, and what an art form it is! Carole has a dedicated studio and she has individual pottery wheels for each student which she ensures are adjusted to fit the height of each person. Carole gave a demonstration and then we learnt each of the stages in turn beginning with centering the clay, then forming a base and raising the sides. It was interesting to learn that we had better success at different processes, but there's no doubt we each needed Carole's expert assistance to ensure there was a reasonable pot by the end! We even got to decorate the finished articles with a selection of glazes Carole has available. We would definitely recommend a session with Carole if you're keen to learn the correct processes from a certifiable expert!

A beautiful and relaxing experience learning how to throw a beautiful bowl as a birthday suprise for my Mum. Carole was exceptionally patient, friendly, informative and so interesting to listen to. We felt very welcome and our little pots turned out really well. Have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to booking a return visit.

What a fantastic experience. Excellent way to bring our team together.I organised and attended a team building session at Clay with Carole for 10 participants, made up of hand building and clay throwing on the wheel.Talia and Sarah were such knowledgeable and accommodating hosts, who were flexible to our needs and very accommodating of our lack of experience!What I also loved is that they made sure that all of us will leave with something to be proud of!

What a great experience! My wife and I had the 2.5hr wheel session and it was the perfect amount of time for a first go at the wheel. Everything was explained perfectly allowing us to have something to show for it at the end. Really good fun and we would definitely recommend it, thanks Carole.

Went with my partner as part of her birthday present. It was so much fun, Sarah was very professional and patient with us. We learned alot and enjoyed each stage of using a potters wheel. It was messy, so be prepared. The second part was to paint our finished pot which will be fired to complete the process. A great experience and the whole morning was a real treat. Our finished results will be ready for collection in about 4 weeks. Would highly recommend this experience.

Carole is a genius with the pottery wheel. She was most patient with us beginners and helped us when we got stuck. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and can't wait to pick up the finished items!
