Great local shop on the peak District. We were hoping to buy some last minute climbing equipment on a bank holiday and I was very happy to see they were open. The shop is quite big, and packed with everything you might need. The staff at the climbing section were super friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose a guidebook that suited what I was after. The range of mountain equipment was also very impressive. I would love to visit the shop with a bit more time when I'm not in a hurry!!

A well stocked shop filled with good quality outdoor clothing and equipment. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful to novice climbers and walkers. They can kit you out with hats to boots and everything else in between. Not cheap but quality costs.Upstairs is a great little cafe. Hot tasty food at reasonable prices and really nice staff. Excellent coffee to warm you up on these wintery mornings. Love the atmospheric photos of climbers past and the more recent ones.Dog friendly.

What a brilliant outdoors shop!We always spend ages in here looking at everything and trying on the hats.The staff are ever so helpful!My favourite outdoors shop in the Peak District

This shop was really well stocked and I was expecting an equal standard of service, however the opposite was the case. The mustached, mullet headed salesperson was condescending and unhelpful. I spent my money in one of the other (equally well stocked) shops in Hathersage.

Bought several items of clothing for my trekking trip. Expert advice from friendly experienced staff. Enjoyed the caffe upstairs had a delicious beef curry.
