Sew Perfect Oxted

Over the last eighteen months I’ve had almost a hundred items altered at this shop and I have found them to be very professional. Some of the jackets and trousers have required a complete remake owing to a significant weight loss. Also my husband had a suit remodelled. We have been very pleased with all the alterations they have done and would thoroughly recommend them. Ali is the best tailor around. Now that he owns the shop and doesn’t get overloaded with work from another branch he can turn the work round much quicker. He is good for all types of tailoring and alterations from mending moth holes to complicated beaded evening dresses, ladies' coats and jackets and men’s suits, etc.

I have been using Sew Perfect for dry cleaning, pressing and alterations over the past 6 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I cannot fault them, all the staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Garments are always ready for collection on time and any alterations are carried out at a high standard. Keep up the good work!

Bought an expensive dress from the shop next door, sew perfect was recommended and the owner came in and pinned the adjustments himself. Have collected dress and I’m devastated…..the front is longer than the rest, the left side is two inches higher than the right, and as it’s supposed to be a floor length dress there’s no hiding this. The stitching is beyond terrible, wobbly and all over the place. I’m gutted.

Normally use Sew Perfect for my wife's alterations. Friendly, polite service, the gentleman who does the alterations has never let my wife down. Really knows what he's doing.Thoroughly recommended

now i’m not the one to leave bad reviews at all but this time i was very dissatisfied. the tailor was extremely rude. such inappropriate behavior towards customers. paid 60£ for a dress which he didn’t do.

I chose Sew Perfect to do some wedding dress alterations. I needed the hem taking up (a lot!) and there were multiple layers in the skirt. I also needed the shoulders taking up and new darts in the bust.I’m very pleased with the result! All the work has been completed very neatly to a high standard and the new seams have been tucked into the lining. The fit is much better now.Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Not long after I sent my fiancée to have his suit alterations done too. Thank you Ali and team!

Real shame, but the customer service I received this week from Ali and his staff at Sew Perfect has made me never want to step inside this shop again. Two weeks in a row I experienced problems with this company. Firstly one half my order was missing and I only noticed when I got home, phoned and it was still at the shop and they forgot to give to me. It was annoying to have to travel back, but I do understand mistakes happen. Second time I go to collect my items and a garment was missing. There was no apology only that ‘everything always comes back’ not a great business model if you ask me. I was understandably very miffed and refused to pay for the rest of my order (£10). Today, I go back to pick yet more garments up and they tell me they found the t-shirt (2 weeks later). I was told that all my previous order would now need to be paid. This is NOT what was agreed by Ali the previous week. For the sake of £10 and all their mistakes you would assume they would let the £10 pass. Instead I was told I couldn’t leave until everything was paid for. I will NEVER use this company again and they have now lost a customer who regularly spent £100 a month. Avoid!

Brilliant tailoring. Altered my 30 year old Gieves & Hawkes double breasted overcoat, taking in the shoulders and shortening. It fits like new, wonderful job, thanks Sew Perfect. Now looking what else in the wardrobe I can have altered. Fantastic to have such a great service on our doorstep.

Took my coat to be taken up as was too long had it returned today and to be honest appears to have been done by a novice. The stitching is not straight, meandering off in places and catching the fabric causing cleats. Where it has been taken up the fleece has not been removed correctly and has been rolled, looks like I am wearing a coat with a hoop in it now. Other sad thing is two weeks ago I took it in to get done then, the quote was 3 pound less than what I payed today. Top it all he was rude and even accused me of bringinging in a different coat which was why the price was different.

My husband's bomber jacket was a gift and so we searched for recommendations to find the best tailor in the area. The recommendation we received for Sew Perfect in Oxted was so complimentary, that I knew we had to travel all the way to Oxted!It was a tricky job, and the material would be difficult to manage for an average tailor, but for Sew Perfect it was easy!We were so impressed by the quality of the stitching and how quickly the work was completed, that I decided I must share my experience on Google, because you don't often get expertise like this!Don't hesitate!
