Whitby Distillery

We were up in Whitby for my wife's birthday and we love Whitby Gin so took the opportunity to take the distillery tour and we are just so glad that we did. The guide was extremely informative and humorous and we thoroughly enjoyed the hour plus in his company. If you love your gin, then this is the tour for you!

Alison led an amazing informative tour of what this small company have achieved just in their few years of trading. Great value for money also for just £20 a person. We will definitely be back for round two when moved to your new premises and will be enjoying our purchases till then!

What a fantastic tour, with a gin glass to take away which is an unusual but lovely touch! Staff so friendly and informative without being overly technical. Great customer sevice when we recently ordered gins from them. My husband the driver for the day was also given a miniature of his choice. We'll done,, a wee gem to visit. Can't wait to visit your new site when it's up and running!

We’ve been keen to visit Whitby Distillery for a while and a rainy weekend prompted us to book in last minute for the tour. We were warmly welcomed by Alison and Fred, who were fantastic throughout. Very knowledgable about all things Whitby Distillery and great to hear all the facts behind the company. Oh and their gin and rum is fantastic! We’d highly recommend to any visiting the area come rain or shine! Big thanks to the team and we’ll definitely be back when you move to your new barns near the Abbey.

Bought two ammonite glass tumblers to be part of a gift , the glasses themselves were fine, however I was very disappointed that they just came in a flimsy brown paper bag, no packaging, they could perhaps consider using boxes to avoid potential damage.

Had a fantastic time going on the Distillery Tour at the Whitby Distillery. Jess & Luke, the Founders, are so friendly and knowledgeable, answering all of our questions. They have a real vision for producing gins that showcase what the Yorkshire coast has to offer and support other businesses in Whitby.Make sure to try the limited editions only available at the distillery and the rum which is new for this year.I hope to be back when they expand onto a site up near Whitby Abbey

Wow, I've been wanting to come here for a while and wasn't disappointed. Right from the moment we we arrived, we had a very warm welcome indeed (I'm so sorry I have forgotten the young man's name but he was really chatty and friendly) and a good chat and quickly got chatting to others on the tour as well.Once the tour began, Phil, who was very entertaining and assisted by Fred, was amazing. Really knowledgeable, amazing journey of how it all began, literally what dreams are made of, and makes all the hard work worth every second. What a gem of a business, and I can't wait to see you guys again in your recovery location . What a location it is, too!!!Thank you for such a great visit, amazing Gin, and allowing us to see how it all began and see it grow now.Also purchased many bottles in the shop. Visited the Distillery for the tasting tour. Debbie was the guide and was very good. Although it is a small local Distillery it is really interesting to see how they started and they are moving to a bigger Distillery near the Abbey which will be sustainableAnd the Gin and rum are fantastic you definitely won't be disappointed.Good luck with the new Distillery. Had a lovely tour today, our guide Alison, assisted by Fred! Was passionate and knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about the beautiful gins available! Hopefully it won’t be long before we get to visit your new premises at the top of 199 steps!
