We were going to eat here as its dog friendly. But no dogs allowed when food is being served. Nice pub good prices but not dog friendly we sat on our own in garden.

We arrived at 4pm - the time dog's are allowed in. Staff very busy serving drinks. Asked if it was OK for our dog. Before I could ask a question about meals the staff member had turned and gone. We found a table in a covered place in the outside yard. 25 minutes later the meal of gammon, egg, chips and peas arrived. 'Hope you enjoy' was the comment. After less than a minute we decided that we could not eat this meal. The chips were tasteless, the peas likewise. As for the gammon, thick, pale and again no flavour. I have eaten some equally bad food in my youth. That was out of necessity as at bording school if you didn't eat you went hungry. I looked around to see if anyone else was eating. No, all appeared to be enjoying the liquid refreshment.

We hadn't been in the Albion for a while and dropped in for a spot of lunch. We were met with a warm welcome. The staff are very pleasant, in nice surroundings, and the food was excellent. We will certainly be back.

This is an unusual pub in as far as they've tried to turn it into a wine bar but it's not really working!Get rid of the black tables and lights under the bar and lighten the floor and walls. I think a light oak floor and tables all the way through would attract more visitors! This pub though has friendly staff and good beer so still worth a visit! All the best,Nigel

What a find! From the moment that we entered there were friendly faces behind the bar and bringing our food to us.The food is homecooked and good. We're definitely going to go out of our way to go back there. It made for a really enjoyable lunchtime break.Highly recommended.

This was a solid pub to go for a drink at, with a large area to accommodate on busy days! The counter is well-presented, staff were friendly and I enjoyed a refreshing bottle of cider at comfortable seating.
