Fantastic rescue. Clean, tidy, very caring. They ensure the dogs are vet checked. They have fantastic grounds surrounded by woods with lovely walks. Dogs look happy and we are now very proud and happy human parents to our new fur baby, Tula who loves her walks, toys and rolling in the grass.

Chilterns is a brilliant rescue centre! The staff are very friendly and relaxed and our rehoming process was very easy. They stand out from other rescue centres because they don't allow the public to view the dogs and stress them out but have a relaxed interview with you to determine if they have the right dog then ask you if you'd like to meet a potential match. We met our dog Penny, a chocolate lab and instantly fell in love and she has slotted into our lives like she's always been there, we love her to bits! We'll be back to Chilterns in the future for our next addition!

I would’ve left 0 if I could.I emailed yesterday re our Dog Ralph who we were looking at rehoming, due to him biting my mother in law, it was a freak, out the blue, never happened before incident.I told them categorically that he cannot be left in a crate as he has severe anxiety and has always had problems being left in a crate. They said they wouldn’t have been able to help until after the new year, no problem with that. However this ladies solution in the meantime was to “put him in a crate wether he likes it or not” which would increase his level of anxiety and potentially make him even worse or cause further problems with his health. If this is how they deal with dogs out of their care then I’d had to know how they would’ve dealt with him under their care….This is a absolutely awful decision for me to make and people with no heart and no respect for how the owners may be feeling in that moment

Lovely caring people at Chilterns dog rescue, makes all the difference. If you are looking to rehome a dog or two,I recommend you give them a call. With them its about finding the right match rather than just choosing a new member to join your family. They also have boarding kennels at reasonable price per night, which in my mind is brilliant, what better place to leave your best friend/friends when you go away, you know they will be well looked after.I would like to personally thank them for their dedication and hard work.

Very well managed, purpose built Rescue Centre. Staff dedicated and obviously all love Dogs, with many of them having Foster Dogs from the centre, so able to give great advice to first time rescuers. Everything is centred around the best interests of the Dogs and they are really keen to get the right match, based on the needs of the Humans and the Dogs, rather than showing a load of cute photos on the website and having people pick based on who's the cutest (although we obviously think ours is the cutest!). Each Dog comes with a full briefing pack about their health, history (or as much as is known), weight, feeding times and requirements, 4 weeks' Petplan insurance, a bag of Arden Grange food and a collar + tag. All immunisations are up to date and they neuter the Dog or give you a discount voucher for their Vet if the Dog is too young (or you can of course use your own Vet). This is Buddy (formerly known as Jacob) already very relaxed on his first day in his Forever Home

Amazing place, where ( quite rightly ) dogs needs come before the humans

High quality holiday boarding staff who understand and can deal with all sorts of need of individual dogs because they've seen it all in then rescue side of the place. The rescue and boarding dogs are not together and it's always so quiet here unlike other kennels where it's noisy with barking.
