Woolpack Veterinary Surgery - Buntingford

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Friendly, caring staff who were always willing to give advice and ring back and answer all our questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We had our dog spayed through the charity that we adopted her from and they use them all the time and told us they were good value for money. Unfortunately we live a bit too far away from the practice to make it practical to register here otherwise we would instead of our local vets.

We have struggled over the years to find a local Vets who aren’t in it for the money making. But Woolpack are the absolute opposite. They really clearly care and are nothing but attentive and playful with my dog. He’s a big boy and unfortunately both previous times I’ve had to visit, it’s been with my newborn son in his car seat who seems to like the vets a lot less than my dog. The staff are happy to take my dog and look after him whilst I sort out my baby, and deal with all medications and paperwork, and even helping me back out to the car with them both. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble, and they are more than happy to give advice on anything you have to ask about. I can’t give specific names because from the two compeltley different teams of vets and receptionists on both visits, every single person made me feel that my dogs best interest was at heart. My dog, roadie, has come into woolpack the past couple years for a couple reasons one a serious injury and two he got dropped off there when he bolted while off leash. They cared him in stellar fashion both times. Then in August last year he fell extremely ill and to my absolute despair died sep 20th. The staff are angels and throughout all visits in his end days they were so honest, caring and patient. They also sent him off away from this world in my home with the comfort so important to me (and him!)If you're not sure about where to take your dog for quality care of their health go to woolpack hands down.

Moved both my English Bull Terriers over to Woolpack around 3 years ago after losing my English bull dog from a surgery that Vets4Pets Stevenage should have easily completed.3 years on and I’ve had zero issues with this place and are always very helpful at getting you in ASAP if your dog needs to be seen.Really appreciate these guys & girls.Thankyou

Excellent staff, excellent facilities, excellent care for pets. My dogs actually get very excited when they realise they are there. The staff have made a fuss of them from day 1, have never had a bad visit that could put them off, which makes it so much easier when handling two 58kg dogs. Would highly recommend

We had to make the incredibly hard decision today to have our family dog Roxy put to sleep.We rang and they had us come in straight away.Just want to say how fantastic the staff were, the Vet Keely was so incredibly kind to us and Roxy. Gave us space and time and was just so compassionate towards our feelings. The Nurse Faye was also great and so kind also. Even the Receptionist Jo made everything easier for us.Thank you so much for everything you done for us today.

The individual Vet we saw was excellent.Everything else poor throughout.Practice Manager refusing to see a pet in an emergency unless you re register with them and they call your old vet to remove you. “Caring for your animal” should be changed to “caring for our bottom line” on their website.On arrival with an emergency appointment, their priority is to sell you a subscription service.Vet nurse seemingly untrained. Trying to force a neck collar over an injured eye. When questioned had a strop behind reception and muttered away to the uninterested and unwelcoming receptionists.Old reviews are good. Must be a recent downturn.

My dog was seen as an emergerency on an evening. She had a thorough examination and everything was explained to me in great detail and costings.

We chose to go with woolpack as the reviews were so good! My puppy had his first visit at the vets yesterday to get his second vaccine and it was the most lovely experience. Keeley the vet was so gentle with him and answered all of my concerns and questions, she was very helpful, aswell as the reception who helped guide me through the insurance, extras that they offer. Everyone was very bubbly and so helpful. Couldn't thank them enough!
