It is a good gym. Most of the equipment works and they get things repaired soon enough. Sometimes there are too many people around

The Gym group Sheldon is in an absolutely horrible state. Homeless people are sleeping on the staircase. People are smoking weed sitting on the stairs as well. Gym is not ventilated properly , the smell is overwhelming. Equipment is in a terrible condition ,the floor is bubbling and raising up and should be considered as health and safety hazard as it’s by the free weights area and members can potentially get injuries. Not even talking about weights being left absolutely everywhere and rubbish all around the floor. No blue roll for members to clean the equipment after themselves only reusable old cloth was on the table which should be considered anti sanitary. Overall in 1 year under new management the group sheldon gym lost all it’s good reputation and I would not recommend anyone wasting their time training there.

Just needed to use the gym as a temp whilst I was in the area. Equipment was decent. Gym was clean and well looked after.

Been using this gym for a couple months now....only use it once a week the strength and conditions equipment is well worth the money. The only issue I have is weights being left all over the place....it really can be a hazard.

I recently visited The Gym Group Sheldon for a workout session. As soon as I entered, I was surprised to find that the gym wasn't too crowded, making it easier to access the equipment I needed for my workout.What impressed me the most was how well-maintained and clean the gym was. I also joined some of the classes, which turned out to be easy to follow and quite enjoyable. I appreciated the personal trainer's interest in helping gym members, and they were so friendly and supportive.Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Gym Group Sheldon, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality gym experience. I rate this gym 10/10 for its fantastic facilities, friendly atmosphere, and excellent personal trainers. It's definitely worth a visit!

Night time, it’s very messy because of dumbbells all over the floor and people are so lazy they leave their cloths and mess on the floor like their mother works as a maid there. The night shift guy is very good he cleans all the bottles on the floor removing trip hazard. The standard of the gym at evenings is very bad they are not removing trouble makers which is why their only crowd are youngsters who think their mother will clean after them.

I visited the Sheldon site at 4:30am for my first workout after recently joining The Gym Group. I’ve never used this chain of gyms before and I was pleasantly surprised when I first arrived, however, after heading to the treadmills to begin my warm up, I found them to be dirty and uninviting, not a good start. Next, I headed to the free weights area, only to be met by absolute chaos with weights dumped anywhere on the stands, or just left next to benches; the plates wasn’t any better either and, by this point, I couldn’t be bothered looking for the grips to use the pull down machines. No point in a cool down, so I headed to the shower with low expectations, and the one I used certainly met those low expectations; mold on the grouting, smelly drain, shower head spraying erratically and dirty floor. Unfortunately, this was an expensive visit as I have now cancelled my membership - you live and learn, and I will ask for a tour before joining another gym.

I come to this gym on a regular basis, not too too busy and always clean. The staff are really nice and welcoming, they are happy to help with any concerns or issues.

They've increased the price again. 4 months ago it was at 18.99 GBP for a standard membership and now it's at 19.99 GBP. You're becoming greedy and don't care about the cost of living crisis. Do you? Whereas at the moment, there are at least 4 treadmills out of order along with some lifting equipment that need maintenance. The branch at Solihull is bigger with more equipment yet it's cheaper for a standard membership. Change the price and I may reconsider my review but I hate the fact that we're tolerant and yet all you see you can do is increasing the price.
