Halfords - Blackfen

I booked a slot for a replacement car battery on line, turned up and within 20 minutes, I was sorted and back on the road.I was surprised by how complex the job was and was extremely grateful that I paid the very reasonable £17.00 to have it fitted.Thank you for a job well done

I thought by booking with halfords I would get a great service however the garage I used under their name for a service was terrible. I had a new rear screen wiper fitted 10 days previously and the first thing they said was it had perished so needed renewed! After that the list of things needed doing amounted to over £1000 but when taking it somewhere else half the things were completely fine, I was offered a re-service but my confidence with said garage is now zero so I declined. I have wasted £240 for a service that I’m not confident the results are correct, such a shame because the store is brilliant.

The young gentleman on the till was very polite and helpful and asked if we wouldn’t mind waiting for an assistant regarding the fitting of a car seat we had just bought. The lady was miserable and proceeded to take us to a dummy car chair to show us how to fit it. When I asked about another car seat that I had in my car because it was slightly loose but before I could ask for help she said the instructions are on the side, you need to know yourself how to fit it.This lady needs to take guidance from the younger lads she’s unhelpful and because of this I won’t be recommending the blackfen branch which is a shame as the guy on till was lovely

Katie at Blackfen has done another marvellous job on my bike. I always take it to her to service. All of the staff there are helpful and polite, I really haven't experienced as good service at any LBS.

We needed a new battery for our car. Phoned up shop to see if they had one in stock. Came straight over to shop where a very nice young man fitted it for us. Very good service.

I needed my windscreen wipers changed and drove to Halfords Blackfen. The shop had major trouble with the internet but staff still remained polite and helpful when dealing with agitated customers. They sought out the correct fit for my vehicle and despite having difficulty removing the old wipers, the shop assistant perceived and then fitted the new ones. A job well done. I would not hesitate in recommending this shop for parts or service.

I ordered and paid for a part that their website said was 'in stock'. When I arrived around an hour later to collect the part I was told that it hadn't been delivered yet by Euro Car Parts! I explained that the reason I ordered and paid online with Halfords was because the website said it was in stock. I was again told that their parts are delivered by Euro Car Parts. So to sum up, don't waste your time going to Halfords, go straight to Euro Car Parts and save yourself time and money.

Booked and paid £185 for a new car battery and fitting. Had to get a jump start when I left work to get to halfords. Arrived at 5:50 to be told they couldn’t fit the battery as they were closing at 6:00PM due to staff issues. It quite clearly states online they’re open til 8 which wasn’t updated apparently. Was told all other branches are open until 8. Drove another 30 mins to halfords Blackfen ( luckily didn’t need a jump start this time ) . The guy from halfords checked my battery and told me they had the battery in stock but can’t install it because they don’t have the right logistics apparently…… so why does it allow me to enter my reg plate on the halfords website and gives me a selection of batteries to choose for my car model? Surely if your logistics don’t work for the said car model it shouldn’t bring up a selection of batteries on your site and state that they can be fitted in store. Below par service from start to finish in multiple branches. I’ve used halfords many times over the years and never had any issues. Don’t think I will be in the future
