Jess Creates Events

I first met Jess through the Catinaflat platform, where I booked her to cat-sit for us when we went away. After a few lovely chats (the first time she came to meet the cats, we talked so long her partner came looking for her to check she hadn't been kidnapped!), it turned out that I was mid-planning a wedding and Jess was a wedding planner! It genuinely felt like fate, so it was a no brainer too book Jess to help me with wedding admin and to keep me on track. I am sometimes a little too... relaxed and I fully understand that I can be a massive procrastinator in my personal life, especially when there's pressure and a deadline, so having Jess on board was really helpful. Not only because she was great at getting me to focus and just get stuff done, she is also really just a lovely, sweet and professional person.During our discovery process, I quickly learned how stressful it can be to DIY things for a wedding, but Jess talked me through options (who knew there were so many types of paper and weights of paper?), tested ideas with me, and was able to keep me afloat while also taking on some of these responsibilities too. We had sessions to talk through plans and deadlines, and she would then remind me about each upcoming one that we had set together. This really gave me a lot more headspace to think about just the next bit, one at a time, and made everything much less stressful. For example, we talked through design ideas for the menu, with Jess making mock-ups so I had a visual, and then when we settled on one, she literally sat me down and we ordered it through the printer's website together - if she hadn't kept this going, I probably would have left it until last minute (and also missed a deal the printer had on at the time!).Working with Jess:- kept the stress levels down for me- held me accountable for my to-do list- gave me someone I could bounce ideas off whenever I had inspiration (sorry for the sometimes late night WhatsApps)- meant I had someone who helped me do legwork, whether that was literally helping me pack favours or doing research into colour palettesI can honestly say Jess was an absolute lifesaver in the wedmin process. I would 100% recommend Jess to anyone looking for a wedding planner who is happy just to chat to you to calm you down, willing to take on silly ideas and run with it, and is very creative while also organised. Most importantly, Jess is kind, generous, and willing to be a friend during your wedding planning process and beyond. The final, sweet touch that made everything seem to come full circle was that Jess was available to cat-sit during our wedding, so our cats had a familiar face who we knew adored and spoiled them! A huge thank you to Jess for everything you have done to make our wedding perfect.
