Kids Play Cafe - Charminster
We chose Kids Play cafe as my 5 year old daughter's best friend is a wheelchair user and we were looking for somewhere they could both access the activities. The cafe were so helpful asking in advance of any alterations they could make and then on the day when more space became available informing us so we could move the wheelchair if we wanted to. The activities were perfect as both girls (aged 5) were able to explore and engage in them and play together with a bit of support from their adult for the less mobile child. It is unusual for us to be find an activity they both can access with only limited support. They absolutely loved pretending to be pirates and climbing on the new play equipment.

We used the newly opened baby area today which was great for my 8 month old. Loads for my 3 year old to play with. The lady running the session today was really kind and helpful with my daughter which was much appreciated.

The perfect place for your little ones to play safely, with a great selection of toys and equipment. You can relax with friends, or play with your little one. The food is is tasty and affordable. I have been several times and would thoroughly recommend.

Both of my children have loved and still love going to the play cafe even to this day now. All of the staff are so welcoming. There’s such a great selection of food & drinks. Highly recommend a trip to the play cafe xx

My two children aged 4 and nearly 2 absolutely love coming here , they never want to leave. Lots of choice of toys to play with in different areas. Friendly and helpful staff . My kids especially love the kids pick and mix option for lunch .

First time visiting and we were not disappointed. Great range of toys, all the kids seemed very happy. Great range of food and drinks for everyone as well. Can't wait to go back again.

Perfect place to bring little kids!! The ladies who work here bent of backwards to accommodate us and make our session as fun and easy as possible ! My youngest has allergies and they were brilliant with this as well. Such good value , thank you

Were on a little Dorset staycation with our 5 & 2 year old boys, and with Storm Ciaran raging, had to find indoor activities.A quick Google search led us to The Play Cafe, and we’re glad it did. A fantastic little venue encouraging kids to use their imagination through play. Some wonderful play areas, including the train, pirate ship and police van which our 2 immersed themselves in. Lots of other toys, activities and dress up fun too.What helped this place to stand out was the care, attention and friendliness of the lady who runs it. As well as seeming to take a genuine interest in us, how we found her place, whether out boys were having fun etc we saw the same level of care and attention to the others in there too. Someone whose enthusiasm is contagious.The coffee was good too, which always helps, and my partner and I both commented that it’d be a great place to go for that much needed break from the ever overwhelming pressures of parenting. If we were local, we’d be back time and time again.Would recommend.

First visit here and will certainly be going back.Great selection of activities for the kids.Lots of very good stuff to get their imagination going.Also, no crawling around on knees for a grumpy old granddad like me!Good service from the staff, very welcoming.Can't rate food as didn't have any, but coffee was very nice.

Kids Play Cafe - Charminster
Myself and my 2 year old have been to most of the play cafes in the area but this is definitely our favourite. There is so much to keep him busy, from cars to a playhouse to a pirate ship and a slide.I enjoy a teacake and a cup of tea and the pick n mix lunches for little ones are a great idea.Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere too.
