We all know Greggs food is a safe bet.My experiences here at this location have generally been good. It’s tough to bring up up something negative knowing that it was a busy time when I visited but I do feel that it’s necessary to mention it.I was not the only customer who experienced a difficulty with communication with a member of staff serving that day that. I could have ignored in all fairness knowing it was busy and loud inside. However…What I do feel I need to say is that having witnessed my friend being spoken to in a manner that was inappropriate and came across and derogatory for the question she asked was not nice and neither did she leave the store feeling good. She felt embarrassed for asking. The problem is that when we’ve visited in the past and purchased a hot drink we’ve felt sometimes cheated for not paying a little bit more for the promotional snack offer where you get a snack (hot or cold) and a hot drink. We’d noticed this blue round disc in the window promoting this. On the occasions we’ve been before together and alone nobody has ever mentioned this offer from all the different staff we had met.If this was a mystery shop. Something I’ve done professionally and been paid for. If I had written a report on this store then it would have failed to comply with Greggs sales policies (I don’t know the recent guidelines). If a lady like me has a hearing issues it’s loud and there are lots of people waiting and Ove asked you about the promotion I’ve seen and stopped to read the tiny terms and conditions through the glare of the window. Then I need a minute to look, read and then place an order. Being rushed and questioned on it was not my idea of placing an order the staff should know about without looking at the small text that you’ve had to come out from the rill area to see amongst the busy waiting customers to check. I was being questioned on what I had read.It wasn’t just a sweet snack donut let’s say that you could have. You could actually choose a hot pastry apparently .. so I chose a cheese onion and pastry and my hot drink. The man who came to check if I was right, then asked me if I still wanted the same drink. I did of course. A very odd question considering I had placed the order for that already and don’t see why I wouldn’t want it by choosing to add a pastry to my order. I’m glad he checked because should I have decided to pay for my pastry alone my drink would have been a great waste of water. The lady who served my friend was asked if the soup was included in the offer. No it wasn’t. But that tone could have been different and less offensive. Snapping and saying “why would you have a hot drink and a soup”.Why not? What if I can’t chew? That’s for Greggs the business to deal with and they can’t be asked to change the offer it’s just the offer for the one person who can’t chew.Guess what?? Well, it turns out since January I’ve not been able to chew properly and have had to eat soft foods and meal replacement because of a problem on my master muscles and teeth. Turns out the sharp pains experienced when opening g my jaws to bite into something being electric shock like up my one side of the face is quite a serious medical problem. So serious and severe that apparently 1 in 100,000 people have it. It’s a nerve problem. It’s painful. So, when I’ve looked at this label in the window avoiding glare and struggling with the sounds of the atmosphere of the busy shop and tried to ignore it all. It’s just that bit more uncomfortable when a man behind the desk is behaving in ways that make me feel bad and my friend feeling the same as the customer behind me.Let’s just try and talk nicely. And remember staff, that you are paid by Greggs who expect you to be polite and know your stuff. Please get to know your stuff before you have little eye rolls. And, focus on what pastries are included in the offer.Thank you.

The lady working there is rude every-time i go don’t know what’s her problem with my skin color or anything else. But personally I didn’t like it. I ask one of the staff something she answered me and ask that guy to concentrate to serve customer only rather giving my answer and ignored me. She answered very rudely and that wasn’t even my question that she answered. She didn’t let me ask again. I am not going there again. The service is very disappointing. Before also when i went there she ignored me totally and behaved rudely at that time i was thinking may be because it’s rush time though only there was 2 customers after me. But this time i felt that and left me no other option without giving this review.

I use this greggs all the time and the staff are great except for this one woman who I believe is a supervisor. Every time I’m served by her, she gives me such attitude and is just extremely rude. No customer service skills at all. It’s like she’s annoyed that she has to serve u, I leave feeling confused every time.

5 stars for person who served me.Popped in 15 minutes ago and had a pleasant surprise as young person who was serving me offered to pay for my pasty as they didn't have my first 2 choices and the one I settled on was cold! I declined the offer and paid myself but thank you very much young person behind the counter for offering :)
