Stayed here after a wedding, room was tidy basic amenities, tea, coffee, biscuits kettle, TV in room and a fan with the hot weather, bathroom was nice, only thing is if your tall the shower over bath can be a little challenging. Lovely breakfast in morning and lovely family who runs it. Nothings too much trouble.

The best hotel stay! Stayed here for work, my room (6) was beautiful, the location was lovely and quiet and staff are amazing! The breakfast we had cooked for us was 10/10 as well. I will definitely be returning! Staff reopened the bar for us after closing and made us feel so welcome and relaxed! :)

A beautiful place to stay. The views are amazing, comfy beds and the breakfast was fantastic. I can't thank Fiona enough for all her help and for going the extra mile to ensure my dietary needs were catered for

Stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4. Such a shame I couldn’t honestly give this a 4 star as I did like this establishment so any negative parts of this review was purely based on the room we stayed in. We had the family room with en-suite bath (room 12) which was part of the external barn conversion building.Let’s start with goodLovely looking building full of character and located very conveniently, easy to find with absolutely stunning views. Polite and well mannered staff and for me the highlight was the lady owner who was chirpy with a great sense of humour whom you can talk to all day and seems to be the heart and soul of this family run business who carried it all.Sadly onto the bad…Room 12 looks like it could use a bit of a refurb/update. Single beds on 2nd floor was so creaky/squeaky that the slightest move leads to very loud squeak noise. It’s not as insulated on the 2nd floor so on cold mornings, you do feel that coldness and dampness in the air. Despite there being a bathtub, there was no hot water from the taps and we could only use the shower component which had a hot water on demand system and not thermostat controlled so yes we get slightly above warm water for a shower but definitely can’t have a soak in the bathtub. Wi-Fi was a little hit and miss depending on which part of the building you are in.Overall, I think the 3 stars is fair review, slightly let down by the room we stayed in (can’t speak for the rooms in the main building).

What a lovely stay we have just had, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Rooms clean and an amazing breakfast. Took our baby dog and he even had a sausage cooked for him with treats as soon as we arrived. So often hotels say dog friendly but not aloud he there and anywhere, but o my goodness he was more welcome than us lol. Cannot wait to go back.

What a wonderful wonderful hotel and a night away! All round a lovely experience and certainly the most warming and welcoming hosts we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. The hotel is a beautiful historic building down a long winding drive in 'the middle of knowwhere' yet very easy to find. We arrived at the hotel in total peace and quiet, only some sheep grazing and beautiful views. The first welcome we had was by the hoteliers son, who was warm and welcoming and showed us to our room. The room was just right, nice comfy bed, beautiful views and all the amenities you need for an overnight stay (tea, coffee, TV, towels etc). We found out we were the only guests staying in the hotel this night and to pop down when we fancied dinner, and they would open up the bar for us. When we went down, we were welcomed by the wonderful Fiona who, even though it was late and the only people there opened the bar and made us some hot stacks (wedges and garlic bread) and we ended up chatting into the middle of the night like we had all known each other for a lifetime! Very reasonably priced food and drink, and I look forward to sampling full meals on our next visit! In the morning, we went down for breakfast to be greeted with a full continental array (again even though we were the only guests) and the same warm smiling welcome we had the night before! The cooked breakfast was perfect, with thick cuts of smoked bacon, fresh sausages, and all the trimmings! An amazing relaxing stay. We thank you all so much and can not wait to return!

If you've ever fancied stepping into a scene reminiscent of a macabre mystery novel, then The Lascawn awaits your visit. After a long day's walk and an unremarkable luncheon at a nearby pub, we approached our evening's accommodations with anticipation. However, upon our arrival, the house was bathed in an eerie darkness, appearing as if it might have closed its doors for the season. Our attempt to seek assistance led us around the property to a neighboring house, where the chime of a bell was promptly answered by a young gentleman – polite, albeit slightly unsettling in his demeanor. Leading us back to the inn, we noticed an unnerving hush and darkened rooms, reminiscent of tales where shadows hide secrets. When inquired about the possibility of evening sustenance or perhaps a comforting drink, he seemed uncertain, mentioning they would only serve dinner upon prior reservations. No comfort, no refreshments, a rather odd choice for a B and B.Our room, although neat, was rather cramped, housing a diminutive double bed that seemed unsuited to a restful night. When we proposed an upgrade – even offering to pay a surplus – our request was met with hesitation. The young man mentioned consulting his mother, but it was his brother who appeared to deliver the final verdict. Despite the evident availability of more spacious chambers and us being the sole guests, we were firmly denied a change of rooms. The atmosphere, combined with the peculiarity of the situation – being the only souls in a silent, dark inn at 4 pm – prompted a hasty decision on our part. We summoned a cab and made a swift exit. There was an unshakable, uncanny aura about the place. A word to the wise: Think twice before you decide to book at The Lascawn. It might be a chapter best left unread.

Great breakfast, clean rooms & bedding, lovely friendly host. She opened the bar for us when we arrived at 10pm Friday so we could have a drink & when we had to leave early in the morning so would miss breakfast she made us sandwiches for the car journey. Great service, would recommend.

Staff are superb, rooms are large and beds are comfy. Beach is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. The service is second to none. Breakfast isn't usually served until 7 and I had to leave at 6. The host went out of her way and ensured my breakfast was ready to take away! 10/10 all around
