Bridge 8 Hub
Spending time doing activities at Bridge 8 Hub was our best experience in Scotland. They let us try as many activities (kayak, ebike, SUP, etc.) as we wanted. They are also a non-profit doing amazing work with children. The owner, Sean, is one of the friendliest people I've met and went above and beyond to make our day great. Do yourself a huge favour, spend the day at Bridge 8 Hub and support their causes!

I've been coming here for over 16 years, since before Bridge 8 was founded. Yet past year the tranquil experience has been shattered by the yobs who hang around in groups here, or are brought in by Bridge 8 to ride the rafts etc. Shame that this community space is virtually a no go area. Sucks.

Great day kayaking along Union Canal. The service we received and training session at the start was terrific from the boy running it. Would certainly return.Cannot pay there bank transfer only.

I booked a half day of canoeing for my partner's birthday. The place was easy to find and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were given a life jacket and a safety briefing and sent on our way. We had a lovely day paddling up the Union canal, had a picnic then returned to Bridge 8 hub where we were welcomed back by the friendly staff. The canal was quiet and beautiful. We would highly recommend this experience!

Great place to access the water for a canoe. 15 minutes of paddling west gets you out the city. Staff are phenomenally helpful.

Great place for adventures in canoes, kayaks, mountain bikes and even an archery cage.The on site cafe does top notch hot rolls, grilled cheese, a local, unique coffee, teas, hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies and cakes.

Friendly staff, easy booking and great outing on the canal on an open canoe.We (two adults) reached Ratho Boat Centre in 1 hour, rowing gently but continuously, and had a beer in the garden of the Ratho cafe/restaurant on the canal.We paid £25/person for 3 hours and got a free 3-hour voucher as it was our first hire.Definitely recommended!!
