It was my son's birthday present and I book my adventure flight on Easter Day. Pilot was very friendly, experience good, however, it was quite short flight.

Had an amazing flight with Josh as Captain on Sat 25th May. Despite the weather closing in, the cloud base was high enough for us to maintain 2000ft (fl20) and have a lovely smooth flight which took us east out of the airport, over the City of Newcastle, giving a splendid view of St. Jame's Park, and the famous bridges that adorn the River Tyne, then further on passing the Angel of the North, then out towards the coast over Sunderland, then a northerly track towards North Shields with a great view of the mouth of the Tyne and back on a Westerly route towards the airport. We had to fly a holding pattern before coming into land while we waited for some air traffic to land and vacate the runway to the terminal.This is an experience I would recommend to anyone who loves flying and can't wait to repeat the experience. Very professional slick operation. Well done.

My husbands helicopter experience was cancelled on several occasions at short notice by Northumbria helicopters and then when it was actually going ahead on Sunday at 9am we had a personal emergency on the Saturday night and my husband had to take me to hospital Sunday morning and look after our children while I had surgery. We tried to contact the company but the telephone line was closed. He therefore went down as a no show. We have since called and explained the situation in the hope we could rebook or at least get a discount on a rebooking. We were told it is their policy that we would have to provide 7 days notice to reschedule and therefore we have lost the booking. They would only give a £10 discount on a rebook. We feel this isn’t right and the company should have a compassionate policy for personal emergencies. Very disappointed.

Bloody brilliant! Fantastic experience, first time I've ever been in a helicopter. Amazing view of the Tyne, bridges, St. James Park and Newcastle. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Five stars from me.

Northumbria Helicopters is terrific. Extremely helpful and welcoming staff, a pleasure to work with. Can be slightly awkward to find on your first visit, but carry on following signs to the general aviation terminal through the no entry signs and you'll get there.

Haven't managed to use the voucher I have yet - first their website didn't recognise the voucher company so it took several calls to sort that out, and most recently I've been told to request the same slot again because somehow in their world when there's a bank holiday they ignore all requests sent before it.
