I recently purchased a Peugeot 5008 from Askh For Motors and my experience was fantastic. From the very first call, I instinctively developed a trust on Sukhi's advice and he was very transparent about the pros and cons of the car. Excellent - I recently bought a Golf hatchback from Sukki and found his service to be excellent. He kept in touch throughout the process of preparing the car getting some essential jobs and MOT done. There is a 12 month warranty which is a reassurance when buying a second-hand car. If you are interested in purchasing a second-hand car I would definitely recommend this dealer. Appalling! My wife bought me a Volvo V90 from Sukki. We had a son who was killed in a road traffic accident which was not this fault. She asked Sukki to make sure the car was safe.There were various things that needed fixing before we took the car. A trim and a new clutch.I should have guessed there was trouble ahead when the trim off after just two weeks, due to insufficient adhesive and faulty plugs.The turbo went. This thankfully was covered by the warranty company which, to be fair to Sukki, is an excellent one.Then the new clutch went. Sukki fitted a LUK dual mass flywheel; a Valeo clutch and FTE concentric slave cylinder. I’m told that unmatched parts are sometimes bought to save money.The clutch centre plate has the centre broken out of it. This was caused by a faulty dual mass flywheel which has springs backing only one way, causing the extra stress on the clutch plate.The garage told me that the parts are non-conforming and should have been from the same manufacturer. LUK themselves told me the same, that although LUK and Valeo comply with the same OE standards, the reality is that the parts should be the same. LUK also said that the damage is also 99% certain to be caused by misalignment with the gearbox when being fitted, or the clutch being hung on the gearbox.The advice is that this has nothing whatsoever to do with the way the car has been driven and everything to do with non-conforming parts and the way the clutch was fitted.The clutch was not fitted by using a ramp, like any other normal garage. The ramp was broken apparently, so instead of getting use of another ramp elsewhere, they cut corners and the clutch was fitted while the car was on the ground. If it was fitted by the same guy who couldn’t fix a simple trim properly, heaven help the clutch.We spoke to Sukki, and he admitted that his garage ‘may have fitted the wrong parts’. There was no ‘may’ about it. I sent him photos showing the non-conforming parts.I had the broken clutch sent back to Sukki’s supplier because he told me to deal with it. He said he was ill. I included Sukkis’ address when the parts were sent back.I never agreed to take this on, and he did nothing. I contacted Trading Standards, who work with a specialist CAB agency. After reviewing the case, they concluded the car was not fit for purpose when I bought it. Under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 I’m entitled to have the car repaired by Sukki or be refunded.They said that it was not legal for Sukki to tell me to deal with his supplier. He has the contractual relationship with the parts supplier, not me. He should deal with the supplier. The supplier liaises with the manufacturer for a report on the damage. This report then goes back down the chain to the dealer.The warranty company confirmed Sukki’s responsibility. My solicitor confirmed the same. So did LUK.Apparently, Sukki knows more than Trading Standards/CAB; the warranty company; the garage engineer; my solicitor and LUK combined.He comes across as very pleasant and wanting to do the right thing, but when push comes to shove he is happy to shirk his responsibility in my case.He doesn’t accept the clutch is faulty despite the photos I sent to him, describing it as the “so called faulty clutch”. He says he it is up to me to get this sorted out. I have emailed him today and sent him photos proof of delivery of the parts to his supplier. I have the given him yet more time to get this sorted. Trading Standards/CAB said to contact them if Sukki doesn’t conform with the law.

Sukki was exceptional from start to finish. Customer service and after care like this are rare from anyone these days. Some unforseen issues after sale as is the way with used cars but these were dealt with swiftly, fairly and at his considerable expense. And the car is fantastic. All round definitely recommend.
