Blackwater | Forestry England | Blackwater arboretum is an idyllic setting with a stunning variety of beautiful trees from around the world. Inspired by the tree collection at this special place, a sensory sculpture trail complements the setting. Explore Blackwater on two wheels by following the New Forest’s great network of cycle trails. To help prevent wildfires fires, BBQs and outdoor cooking equipment of any kind are now banned in the New Forest.

Blackwater Arboretum
The arboretum isn't massive but there are some wonderful trees there including Western Redwood and Douglas Fir. There are a few sculptures dotted around and it was nice to see plenty of benches so you can sit and enjoy the tranquility.This is a good place to visit any time of the year but on a fine winter day like today with practically nobody else around it was very peaceful.

Fantastic place to get some fresh air and walk the dog. Nice fenced off walk with various trees, easy going and a great place to get away from it all.

It's a really picturesque place for a dog walk or to let the kids run off some energy.There are signed walking routes around the woods.There are plenty of cycle routes around the woods also.

Blackwater Arboretum
Lovely area to walk, tried to park here last year in summer, absolutely heaving, no chance. Came back in October and plenty of space. The walk around the tall trees was lovely in the autumnal weather. Two different routes, the yellow tracked arboretum or the blue track round the tall trees. Didn't visit toilets so can't comment on them.

Magnificent place ... if you ever want to feel tiny these trees will do that really get things in perspectiv! Beautiful walks and the perfect place to feel fully immersed in nature.

Visit every year in Autumn. Colours are fantastic. Love to see these tall fir trees too. Parking & toilets available

Absolutely stunning area for short and longer walks. A fair amount of labels on the trees in the fenced areas. Free parking.

Blackwater Arboretum
Tall Trees trail part of the Arboretum. Decided to go there despite it being wet and muddy with a lot of puddles. As part of the trail, the arboretum had put up signs to show you specific special trees including the tallest, heaviest etc. The heaviest was 105 tons. Took the dog. She enjoyed it too.

Blackwater Arboretum
Lovely walk amongst some majestic big trees. Clear path markings and trees labelled for reference. Not a long walk but plenty of other trails all around.
