This was a fabulous meal! I would definately recommend for anyone GF as lots of choices. Chips were especially fab - (won't spoil it for you). The decor inside is comfortable and beautifully done. Big car park and mostly on the flat. Don't be fooled by the pink facade - this is a lovely lovely pub!

It's been a long time since I was last here. I definitely won't be leaving it so long next time.Went for a quick lunchtime treat. The menu is really good and covers all options. Plenty for veggies too.My daughter had loaded fries with pulled pork and cheese. O my days!! It was a very large portion. And delicious too.Staff were lovely and very helpful. Quick service.Would highly recommend this little gem.

Had the nut roast 16.7.2023 from the Sunday lunch menu, if it any nuts in it I never found any. It was rice mixed with onions and a definite tast of marmite it really gave me a upset stomach that night. The veg was serve in 2 plates for 6 hungry adults, red cabbage , green cabbage which was very dry and peas with about 3 cut up carrots . The roast potatoes were just about cooked but barely browned. The lemon meringue with fruit ,the chef had run out of meringue and someone had to go toTesco. When at the bar another customer was also complaining very loudly.Won't be going again .

We visited the Lopes Arms for a Christmas meal today. We had pre-ordered our meals at least 3 weeks in advance. When the food was being brought out, I kindly reminded one of the waitresses my meal was no gravy (as per my pre-order). She said ok no worries.Another waitress brought my meal, covered in gravy. I managed to flag down a waitress and she took the meal away. Again, she did not tell me at this point, no gravy was not an option. The manager Lou came back out with my food, meat still in gravy (clearly moved from the previous plate) and new veg. She said something about it being cooked in gravy, that's the way it comes and walked away.I called over the original waitress to explain that I felt like I'd been lied to, due to the inconsistencies in communication and that they clearly didn't want to cut off some fresh meat, that I wouldn't eat it as it was and would eat just the veg on the plate. Again, it was not reinforced by any other staff who were in and out of the kitchen that the meat was cooked in gravy and that no gravy wasn't an option.Following this, the manager, Lou, walked up to the table and abruptly said ' I hear you're not happy with your meal'. In a quite argumentative manner, she continued to tell me how they definitely cook the meat in the gravy. Not once did she apologise, or offer an alterative.-Why was I not informed weeks ago when I pre-ordered that I couldn't have no gravy- If the meat was cooked in gravy... why was I not told this the first time I mentioned i'd requested no gravy or the second time the originally took the plate back into the kitchen- If gravy is the only option and their lack of communication lead to the mistake, why was I not offered an alternative ( I therefore took the meat home for me dogs).- Sorry is not difficult.Overall, the remainder of the staff were lovely, and attentive, but the manager Lou was abrupt, rude and had very poor customer service skills. Very disappointing.

A group of 28 of us went for the Christmas meal menu on 2nd Dec 2023. The service and staff were fantastic and the food was delicious and beautifully cooked. Our party had turkey, beef, sea bass and the chestnut roast - all were fabulous! Thank you so much.

The Lopes Arms is a must for anyone wanting to try some delicious food in a stunning venue. Visited there today for lunch and the staff are wonderful, and the food was amazing! I don’t know how they make those chips but they’re just the best. A wide range of foods on the menu, and all cooked to perfection. The front of house staff were so friendly and attentive - it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I would recommend highly to all. Book a table today!

Went on a Wednesday night for Silly Steak Wednesday". Asked for a mixed grill at 20:40hrs only to be told the kitchen was already closed. The website says food is available until 21:00hrs. Wasted trip. Update your website to reflect the truth."

Have been for dinner about 5 times this year since first visit in March, sometimes just 2 of us, but also as a group of 4 & 5, great food, drinks & service every time. A great local place for dinner. The veg curry earlier in the year was jalfrezi, which was so good I had it 2 visits in a row. Menu has changed since then, now veg Thai green curry, also really good. Will define back. Just about squeezed in 2 of us tonight. Didn't realise how popular steak Wednesday was!
