Shoenique

A master with leather. We traveled from Uxbridge in Middlesex to this shop after reading other reviews and it was really worth it. My wife was given a hand made pair of leather boots from Spain by a good neighbour. Unfortunately they were too tight on her calves so we took them to shoenique to get them stretched. As soon as we entered the shop I could tell this man was a professional. One week later and now my wife can comfortably wear these beautiful boots. You would not know any different. On top of that the cost was really reasonable and came with expert advice about how to care for the boots and other leather items. I will return here despite the journey if ever I need a professional cobbler again. Many thanks.

Gave my beloved Red Wing boots to be resoled after 12 years of constant use. The boots came back practically new with the original Vibran sole on. Can’t be any happier, thank you!! Highly recommended!!

I called to ask about their services and opening hours at 2:50pm. They confirmed they’d be open until 5pm on Saturday. I arrived before 5pm and the shop was locked. I called the number but no one answered. See picture that shows I was there before closing hours.What a waste of my time and poor customer service!! I’d have no confidence in their repairs if this is how they run a business!! I will take my shoes elsewhere.

Splendid piece of craftsmanship, up-cycling the soles of my ancient uggs. They used quite a bit of artistic license to recreate the soles and I’d say they look even better than when they were brand new.

Shoenique is an absolute gem on the High Street, and I have been going there for over 9 years following my husbands insistence that I only use this shop to repair his shoes. I now know why - they last. We have extended the life of much loved, expensive pair of boots to above and beyond their shelf life thanks to Alex's skilled craftsmanship and quality of product. He has even repaired rucksack straps, leather bags, broken boot zips... a true artist and a gentleman. Go visit, you will not be disappointed!

I'd been told by 2 shoe repair places in Hammersmith that not only could they not fix the heel coming off my boot but that it was unlikely that anywhere else would be able to. When I took them to Shoenique I expected the same response but they couldn't have been more helpful - identifying, quickly fixing the issue, and saving my favourite boots from the bin. They've also managed to bring a pair of very marked grey suede shoes back to new with great cleaning. Highly recommended.

I cannot thank and rate Alex highly enough, I asked him if he’d be able to widen one boot for me having broken my ankle. The alteration he did for me was all but indiscernible with a brilliantly stitched tiny piece of leather next to the zip. It fitted perfectly. Also he worked to the exact time scale he said he would and I was able to wear my boots to the wedding! It made all the difference.

Alex did an absolutely fantastic job on my shoes. I have had various types of shoes for the past 20 years and overtime they have needed repairs to heels, soles and upper leather. I’ve used several places before around London but he is so highly skilled - he has brought them back to life in a way no one has been able to and as he understands the materials and types of leather, he has the experience to know exactly what needs to be done. Top quality work at reasonable prices. Very highly recommended (in total I took over 10 pairs of formal shoes to him and they all came back feeling even better than new!).

The best in town.Was my local and moving from Barnes, need to go back every time I need to repair a shoe.It is not about fixing, is perfection.I just collected a pair of leather flat shoe looking like really new, it's a pitty I don't have before and after pictures.

Alex is a real treasure for us in Barnes! He recuperates all my favorite shoes to top condition and sometimes they look better than new! He is a true artisan with immense passion and technical knowledge that is awe inspiring. Feeling so lucky to have him as our local! He always receives people with a smile and a laugh and in today’s world that seems to be a hard to find feature. Definitely count him as one of my favourites in the little black book of good contacts to have!
