The flagship store for a largely internet business Attractive building, clothes and outdoor equipment spread over 3 floors, well laid out and spacious. Most major outdoor equipment suppliers represented, and catalogues available to browse products not available on the shop floor. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good returns policy, with store card you double the manufacturers warranty. The staff offer fitting advice for both clothing and equipment, such as rucksacks, and di theur best to ensure you buy the best equipment for your needs. The sales are awesome, with end of ranges, big discounts and excellent bargains. Lots of parking, and a restaurant in the same complex offers excellent food and has a restroom. Tip: if you're a YHA or National Trust member, you get 10% off non sale goods with your membership card.

Perfectly fitted boots - the manager and staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They explained how the foot works and is supported in the boot and advised on a slightly larger size with a supportive insole designed for the boot (they cut and fitted it there and then)... they even did some tests to show the stability and support the special insoles provided. An 8 mile walk later in the day proved an excellent testing walk and the boots were great!

A refreshing change to the normal shopping experience, the store had really friendly and knowledgeable staff who were happy to offer advice regardless of whether it would result in a purchase.

Good products. But as quality items, on the pricey side.

Service is so variable here - sometimes I get served by a knowledgeable interested person and usually buy something, today no one made eye contact, came near me, asked if they could help but instead stood at the till chatting. I don’t want to be hassled but it would be nice of staff to show a little interest, a quick can I help you with anything doesn’t take a lot of effort!

Staff were knowledgeable and helpful, making sure I got the right fit for my hiking shoes. Really first rate experience that all retail should aspire to!

I was on the lookout for new walking boots and had amazing help from Ben. He was knowledgeable on the different types of boots available and provided his opinions but never pressured me to go with any particular brand or style. He made a task that I wasn't particularly looking forward to a fun experience and I'm happy with my new purchase. If you're on the lookout for a pair of boots I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben to help you!

Love shopping here. Friendly staff and quality products. My only complaint would be to ask for a wider range in store.

I always like cotsworld and liking for that perfect bargain. I know we have been locked down but the prices just seem to go up and up. It prices younger people out of doing adventures
