Stuart has been tutoring me for nearly 4 years now and has always kept up an excellent standard of teaching. He is amazing at all sorts of things, whether it's giving you tips for improving your day to day playing, showing you how to play a specifc song or preparing you for your exams. I would really recommend him for all types of guitar players, whether you're just starting out, or are more experienced, he'll be able to fit your needs.

Our son started lessons a few months ago as a complete beginner. He looks forward to his lessons every week with Stuart and is really motivated to keep practicing. It's a delight to hear him learning and enjoying playing the guitar. Highly recommended!

Having picked up the guitar very late in life and stumbled my way through online videos I came to realise I wasn't making much progress and decided to go for lessons. I found Belfast Guitar Academy online and after a quick phone call with Stuart and explained I was looking for 1 to 1 lessons tailored to learning a few songs. I thought that after a few months once I had learnt the basics and a few extra chords I would be self sufficient and ready to go solo.Not long after I started lessons I saw my progress rapidly improve, from learning complex strumming patterns or just asking for advice, Stuarts excellent teaching method and comprehensive music theory knowledge kept me coming back week after week long after I thought I would still be needing lessons. I have been taking lessons with Stuart for almost 2 years. Lessons cover a nice balance of a theory and playing. Stuart will take your guitar playing in the direction you want and introduce some great material that otherwise you never would have discovered. Stuart is an excellent musician who knows how to pass his knowledge on to others in a way that is easy to understand.

Stuart is an absolute legend. My son is type 1 diabetic, and also suffers from MLD, and dyslexia, not that I would expect Stuart to be a special needs educater, but what he does for my son is above and beyond his job description.
