Lovely salon with a lovely atmosphere, never felt so comfortable and at ease in any other salon. Staff were so brilliant and helpful with giving advice and helping me decide what to do with my hair. left my hair looking amazing! Will definitely be coming back!

I went here for a perm. I’m a man with straight, fine hair, and I had asked for waves. I was shown a picture of what I should expect (loose curls) and frankly the result didn’t compare - my hair had *some* movement you couldn’t call it waves. I went back and was given a second perm free of charge, and while it was an improvement it is still far away from what I’d been shown, and still only a bit of movement. Using a curling mouse I’m able to achieve a slightly wavy look, but having paid £115 I really expected better results than this.I have to say the two stylists who did the perms were lovely, and I enjoyed going there. It’s just a shame that the results didn’t match up with what was promised.

It is no ordinary salon. Although located in the middle of Yorkshire, all the staff members I encountered during my time there had the air of high level professionals with a contemporary and sophisticated vision.Having been raised in the capital city of a culturally very high-maintenance country, in an area where all the nation's celebrity hair stylists can be found within a 1km radius, I have been used to a high standard which made me regret the few times I decided to experiment away from home. I just happened to spot this salon a few times on my way to work and it definitely had a different feel about it compared to others in the city, so it peaked my interest.I went to Gemma for the first time, gave her a very vague description of what I was after and she completely nailed it. She also took into consideration my day-to-day hair habits so that the adjustment into my new hairstyle can be as effortless as possible. The layers she gave me are perfect by my needs, nothing sticks out when I braid it and she made my thin hair look full and healthy for real, not just as an initial effect of salon styling. It also looks natural, flowy and the layers are well blended, and not choppy like I've seen some people do it.I am very happy that I found this place. Would recommend to all my fellow sceptics. :)

I have had a few haircuts and recently dyed my hair with Leah at The Volt Salon. She has been awesome, and delivered every single time that I have been to see her! Leah is super friendly, talented and an excellent communicator.I was very nervous about dyeing my hair for the first time and she went through each step of the process with me thoroughly, explaining all the pros and cons of dyeing hair. And I am super happy with the result. The colour has come through and looks incredible!Leah always takes her time, has never, ever rushed doing my hair, uses the best products and always delivers excellent results!I would highly recommend Leah and The Volt Salon. Just an all round awesome stylist and fantastic person!!

As someone who recently moved to Sheffield, finding a new hairdresser can be a daunting task. However, I came across Volt Salon on Instagram and after reading reviews, I booked my first appointment and had an amazing experience. My hairdresser, Leah, is amazing! She did an excellent job on my hair, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She's also super friendly and easy to talk to.I highly recommend Volt to anyone :)

Had my haircut done by Abby! She was so lovely and I had a wonderful head massage - have gotten many compliments on my hair already! Amazing service and prices - will definitely return :)

I visited Volt for the second time last Thursday and was greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist. My hair was in desperate need of a good cut. Leah the stylist asked me how I wanted my hair and I explained to her that I wanted my hair thinning whilst shortening the length to my shoulders in a nice medium Bob. Leah did exactly what I asked for. She wasn't shy & lazy with the scissors like alot of other stylists have been at other salons I've visited in the past. She cut quite alot of thickness out of my hair, making it lighter and more manageable to style. There was that much hair on the floor that you could've knitted a jumper out of it. Yep, I'm definitely returning to this salon again in another 8 weeks time for my trim. I won't go anywhere else because this is the best salon in Sheffield. You get given a choice of drinks, a biscuit and a nice head massage, with decent 80s music in the background. It's a nice salon 10/10.
