Newark Glass Co Ltd

I tried to get Newark Glass to give me a quote when I was developing a bungalow. I called them several times and in the end I had to give up and take almost £10k of business elsewhere. At home I have leaded window that needs specialist skills to make. Newark Glass said they were able to supply these. After 3 calls they sent two guys out to size the job and provide a quotation. I have called 7 times now with no response from them at all. Totally unreliable beyond belief!

I decided to have a go at replacing a couple of blown panels in my double glazing, so ordered them from Newark Glass. Their service was good and within a reasonable time frame - about a week. The cost was way cheaper than calling a glazier to come and do the job. I fitted the panels myself without a hitch (thanks YouTube) so was well happy. I have no hesitation recommending this company.

I needed a triple lazed panel in a hurry. Newark glass made it the same day when everyone else was quoting a higher price and longer delivery. They stayed open late when I was delayed in traffic too. Good quality panel too.

I needed a sealed unit, to replace one of my windows myself. I called these guys, and they made me one in a couple of days. Good job, I'm well happy.

Had a frame of mine for 10 weeks. Still awaiting for it to have a mirror fitted and i have already paid. Appalling company.

Do not give a penny to this company!Won’t bore you with the whole (year long!!) ordeal, but I paid for a job and which was never completed. Hundreds of phone calls and emails to the company to try and get a fitting date with no response. They kept blaming covid but they were still happy to go out and price more jobs up. In the end had to take them to court. Managed to get my money back (-20% for some made up reason) the day before court proceedings were due to commence (convenient), almost a year after the job was quoted. I took the 80% refund just to get the ordeal over with. Absolutely horrendous. Can’t even even see a “Newark Glass” van go past without rolling my eyes. If you hire them, good luck!

Shame there isn't 0 stars for this company - sounds like they are good at glass however aftercare is shocking - My French doors developed a fault - I had David come out and take pictures in April after numerous phone calls and been told we are awaiting the manufacturer they are on order etc i just keep getting the same old story so looks like i have to go to the small claims court now - Please avoid this Company

Was terrible wanted some glass for windows for a job being carried out. we had to call the Retford store as you can’t get anyone to answer the phone at Newark this isn’t a short journey it’s a 30min drive to get glass cut from Newark we wanted to make sure they had the glass in stock. The person at Retford was helpful said yes go to Newark. Arrived and wasn’t even greeted with a hello nothing but rudeness the guy is just sitting there letting the phone ring out. When asked for what we needed it was argued that this wasn’t right etc. The man just didn’t want the business why offer a service if you cannot provide it. Never going to use this company ever as now have a sour taste in my mouth as I could of continued to Retford but I had already spent enough in petrol. From a tradesman point of view I was looking for a company to work with regarding my glazing requirements, but lack of professionalism I’d rather travel further a field and get a better customer service.

The guy at Pelham Street is the most rude an unhelpful person you could ever want to meet. been fitting windows for 25 years and have used Newark Glass on occasions for replacement units. visit last week for a couple of replacement units to be told basically I don't know what I'm talking about. I cant have plain float glass(there is no such thing as plain float glass apparently) and I must have K glass. what's the point on fitting K glass when every other pain of glass in the building will be plain float glass. (16 Year old windows in 1930s house).

We used Newark Glass Group to replace our sealed units despite their being higher priced as we thought we'd get good customer service and support local business. Looks to have been a mistake. Once you pay the bill any hope of customer service with issues doesn't seem to exist. Unless they improve their customer care and follow up then I have to recommend you stay away and use someone else.
