Sand le Mere Holiday Park

We had a lovely time, stayed in a Platinum caravan on the Meadows with a lovely view of the lake. Just a short walk to the entertainment centre with plenty to do. We went to the beach which was easy to access (just around the fishing lake and down a path in a field) I'd definitely recommend for families with younger children

We had a dog friendly caravan, J20. The caravan was clean and basic. More utensils would be nice such as a frying pan and scissors however we did manage with the grill . Beds comfy. Lovely location very quiet and peaceful. The grounds were well maintained and the walks around the resort that we took with our dog were nice. The resort is about a 10min drive to Withernsea where we took our dog to the beach but that didn't bother us. Mini disco was great for our 2year old and they had the characters to have pics with. We also enjoyed swimming the little pool was great. The entertainment complex could be cleaner as there were lots of bits on the floor. The food in the restaurant we had on our last night was ok. It was over priced but it was expected with it being part of the complex. We really enjoyed our stay overall and our little girl had the best time. ATM on site to get cash for the bingo. :) Well stocked shop too.

I was anxious prior to arriving considering the poor reviews this holiday park has, but we had a lovely Mon-Fri break.Our caravan was a gold plus in The DalesThe beach you can walk to, but it isn't the prettiest and not ideal with toddlers.Swimming is everyday from 10am, lunch 12-1 then open again until 4pm.It is a free for all, but there is a nice kids pool with a slide. Changing rooms aren't the cleanest, but with the amount of foot fall this is to be expected.Entertainment in the evenings, 6pm for kids until 7.30pm. It is basic, with staff who try there best but it also needs audience participation. Chance for kids to have pictures with charactersPub food we never had, but menu looks similar to a hungry horse type. Not the cheapest for drinks (£6.20 for a J20 and Coke!)There are 2 play parks on site, but they are quite old now. The one near reception has a slide, swing and climbing area but nothing specialThe location is remote, if you want days out you will have to drive.All in all, for what we paid (through The Sun Holidays) we cannot complain and had a lovely break.

We own a caravan up there. It is bad in the summer because people play music till 12 at night. Some times when you ask the reception if you can change the gas tanks you have to wait a day when they say there coming in the afternoon. Arcades have become not good and the shop is rarely open. The beach is nice and very long and wide.

Fabulous park, to suit all ages, our grandchildren 3,5 &6 just loved it particularly the swimming pool with Shute, the soft play area and the evening entertainment was Fabulous. Great staff very helpful and friendly. Our caravan was a 3 bed gold plus and had everything you need.

Absolutely can not fault this place. We have just done the mid week mon to Fri and it was amazing, we had a dog friendly caravan it was clean and modern. A slight dog smell but nothing that a little window open didn’t get rid of.We had £40 free food and drinks vouchers in our deal and the food was so good, they even let you take it away back to enjoy in your caravan.The views are utterly beautiful and right on the beach.The staff are all a credit, nothing is to much trouble especially Adel she was lovely.Highly recommend we will definitely be back!
