Used Linda twice already. First time when I was first time buyer-very straight forward. Second time in the chain of 4 - bit stressful but Linda and her team were very responsive and helped to get to completion successfully. Thank you!

We’ve used this solicitors three times now first two times for straightforward no chain sales and purchases with no issues, third time was a chain of five and our final purchase of our dream home. Our deeds were delayed by 6 weeks because our bank didn’t action the request. McFadden Perry said they called weekly and asked for updates. When we got 5 weeks in I spoke to someone I hadn’t spoken to before who recommended I call the bank and enquire about the deeds - surely I was paying McFadden Perry to do this. After some questioning of the bank (how long should the deeds take- a few days, but if they were sent a few weeks ago then they should be here so clearly they’re lost in the post or it’s not been actioned) this prompted an advisor at the bank to look into the issue and find out there had been a problem. It was sorted and McFP received the deeds two days later. I’m not sure why McFP couldn’t have questioned a little around this- surely they’re experienced? Our buyers solicitor was nowhere to be found with the contracts three days before completion, many many phone calls to McFP asking what had been sent/if they’d received anything etc so we could keep the chain up to date - again surely this is their role? to be met with a response of ‘we’ll get back to you’ rarely with any phone calls back. On more than one occasion we were told we’d get a call by a certain time to not get a response. No understanding or empathy our the situation (actually the solicitor once said she was concerned about our wellbeing during a huge issue with our buyers solicitor but that was the start and end of the empathy), continuous blunt responses over the phone and email. There seemed to be a theme that at 445pm we’d get a big problem presented to us e.g. told our mortgage balance was bigger than we said but the secretary had included an ERC when they knew we were porting (scary), deeds not arriving, contracts not received, etc. Our house move was extremely stressful and McFP contributed to a massive delay of 6 weeks by not effectively or proactively chasing up the deeds as well as zero empathy, or human touch resulting in a house move to put us off ever moving again. I’ve given two stars because their prices are very competitive and our first two straight house moves went without issue, anything a little complicated and I’d personally use a different solicitors firm

We've chosen McFadden Perry as our solicitors for our first house purchase quite at random, because they were the first ones to respond to our quote request, and we have had no reason to be sorry for this. We've been given excellent service. The ladies in the office were always kind and helpful, and our solicitor Mark Green was very quick and efficient and flexible.
