After booking I read some reviews and wondered what I would find. I could not fault it. I was in a beautiful large refurbished room and my booking requests of no stairs and a walk in shower were fully met. Staff were cheery, polite, and went out of their way to be helpful. Food was good, hot, and nicely presented and whilst there were workmen around and a little noisy during working hours this did not cause a problem and there were quiet places to be found. If I had one criticism it would be the size of the spa area, but I had an excellent relaxing back massage

Staff and hotel manager was exceptional in customer service, going above and beyond. Staying in hotel due to unfortunate serious matters. Staff and hotel made me feel welcome, explained everything I needed to know on arrival. Room itself was spotless clean and spacious. Nice warm atmosphere. Small choice on food on menu however food was delivered as expected in menu. No faults whatsoever. Thank you for a great stay (as it was needed)

Stayed with our granddaughter for 1 night and she loved it. Lovely, welcoming hotel. Lovely breakfast and one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. We will back to Salisbury in the New Year and will definitely be staying at the Milford.

We have been coming to Milford Hall for several years when visiting family in the Wiltshire, Hampshire area. Starting in a positive note, we were met by Angie (do not know her last name), she was very welcoming and professional and nothing appeared too much to make our visit comfortable. Uncertain what Angie’s position maybe, but she works diligently to assist in many situations. This type of person is the backbone of any business. We understand change if management and renovation will add some challenges, however, some of the service detail left a sour taste.Drinks in the bar and room service cannot be charged to the room. Detrimental to anyone staying at the hotel.Worst of all, we had booked for eight nights but due to travel changes back to the USA we needed to cancel final night. This we did six days in advance. We were informed that this COULD NOT be credited as it had already been processed. We have traveled the world staying in many top class hotels. This stipulation is unheard of. Many times travelers have to make changes to their arrangements due to no fault if their own. These terms and conditions need to be changed at Milford Hall or it will be to the detriment of future business.

The restaurant was amazing. Highly recommend. The chicken might have been the most tender I’ve ever had. Rooms were modest but nice. Staff was wonderful. The spa nearby has a fitness center you can use for an additional 6 pounds which was great. Centrally located too!

When you visit a hotel there are certain expectations that need to be met. This hotel met most of them:Excellent friendly staff who even visited my room and reminded me when the kitchen was going to close so that I could eat.Clean hotel rooms.Quiet location.Close to the city centre. The bathroom is well lit and very clean and they have a shower, not a dribble. The food in the restaurant is really good and their is a very varied choice. The Spa & gym is the only let down as it isn't free to guests and there is a slight charge (unlike other hotel spas that I have visited). However, I usually got back from the office late so the spa would have been shut anyway & I can use Pure Gym.Overall its is a nice hotel, with excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff. When I'm in Salisbury this is the only hotel that I choose.

We really enjoy our stay. The room was comfortable, but dated. They are undertaking a renovation, however, and I think it will be wonderful after the facelift. The staff was fantastic — super helpful. And it’s really convenient — a short walk into the town center.

Stayed for one night while passing through on our way home from Bournemouth. Lovely hotel, great food and value for money. All staff were polite and helpful.

We stayed Friday to Sunday. We arrived earlier than check in time but parked up and checked it was ok to leave the car while we walked to the City centre. Our room was ready so it was really helpful that we could bring our stuff in before heading out. The room was a very generous size and the bed super comfortable. Our en-suite had a bath with a shower over and it was great to have a nice soak in the bath before we went out for dinner. Breakfast each morning was really good and a nice selection of continental choices. Service is friendly and attentive. Our only issue was with the hot water. Ok for one of us, but the other ended up with a cold shower. Staff were super helpful and did offer to change our room. I think the fact our room was at the back of the hotel had affected the hot water availability, so just something to be mindful of when you book. Overall we had a great stay and the hotel is perfectly placed for an easy stroll to the City Centre. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We have recently stayed here and although alterations are being made to the accommodation, there was not too much inconvenience. We did experience a couple of problems with our room, but the staff were so good and arranged for us to be put into an alternative upgraded room. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfasts were good and although we only ate once in the restaurant, the food was soooo tasty. A huge shout out to ALL the staff we met, who always seemed to go the extra mile to make our stay more pleasurable. A big thank you. x
