The majority of receptionists are great and always helpful, but one I had the other day had an attitude that was flippant to the point of being rude. Told me to nip" to the chemists

I got a same day appointment for my newborn baby with a rash. I was told on the phone it would be with the Health Care visitor. We checked in at reception, (well atleast I thought I had) , however the receptionist didn’t actually check us in so we sat waiting 40 mins before I asked why we were waiting so long. The receptionist said it was my fault as I had said my appointment was with health care (it was actually with a doctor) so she hadn’t checked us in at all because they don’t ‘check babies in to see health care’ but she did ask for my babies details ?!?! The receptionist just sat staring into space the whole time we were there. Also, whilst I was there, the surgery was empty but she asked an elderly couple to ‘check in’ using the screens provided rather than help them. She told them the screens are ‘sensitive’ when they didn’t know how to use them and eventually checked them in at the desk anyway. WHY are elderly people being asked to do this when there is NO QUE what so ever at the desk?! Actual doctor was really nice, my midwife’s have always been really nice. Shame about the reception staff.

I had my request for usual medication rejected, even though it is very important that I take it and on a particular day a week. No real explanation was given except that new staff were reluctant to sign for it! This has happened before, so I put a request in early. I should have taken the meds this morning but still have no idea if it will be ready

Was sent a text to make a diabetic appointment after bloods taken for HBA1c ( I am on insulin )I need a 40 mins check and told there were no appointments for my diabetes nurse who has just changed my insulin and is monitoring my situation to make sure it is right dose etc ……(it’s called continuity of care with the same professional looking after you ) .Anyway I was asked to ring back so I asked when ? They couldn’t tell me when to ring back . Cannot believe this surgery it is getting worse ….. …

My 89 year old nan is able to book an appointment for issues with issues with rash on her feet. The person at the phone has advise at anytime of the day that are no vacancies and hangs up. Disgraceful behaviour

THE WORST the receptionists are so rude and miserable they don’t smile or even say hello when you approach the desk then they stare at you like you’re an alien. Particularly the one with the pink glasses she’s fowl. The only receptionist I came across that was nice was a younger girl she was friendly the other 2 horrid!I only joined this practice 2 weeks ago and I’ve left already I have moved to the doctors over the other side. They were so lovely with me happy and made me feel like a human being.Don’t bother

Loathed to give 1 star. I've moved around a lot and therefore have been registered at lots of different surgeries some good, some bad but Glenroyd medical is beyond terrible. I literally cannot think where to begin as to how terrible this practice is from the phone system to the availability of appointments to the truly terrible GPs who are the most uncaring and patronising I've ever had had the misfortune of dealing with. The only saving grace is you never speak to the same one twice. I personally find most of the reception staff nice and helpful but you can tell they are fighting a losing battle. If this review stops just one person registering with this practice I'll be happy. Save you're sanity and register anywhere else.

Absolutely disgusting staff this place is rotten right to the core! They will do anything so they can not see you if your symptoms are bad they just tell you go to the hospital if your symptoms aren't that bad you don't warrant an appointment this whole practice needs investigating from top to bottom before they start killing patients between them I spoke to a so called medical practitioner called Nikki absolutely useless and clueless said either go to the hospital or end of story
