Your service was excellent with a fast turnaround ensuring the boots could be checked out before I walk the Coast to Coast. This cannot currently be guaranteed by other firms with much longer repair times. After emailing photos of the damaged soles, you were able to quickly confirm that resoling was possible at an agreed price and put my mind at rest before sending the boots to you, using your simple order process. Have a pair of hi tec boots that I didn't want to throw away because the sole was gone. Sent photos in before sending them for repair. Immediately received a response confirming that they could be resoled. Their 5 day turn around time convinced me as other repair services can take months. Happy with the result and service.

These guys have done 2 pairs for me and currently working on a 3rd pair. breathe life into your old road daps for the trail when knackered, way cheaper than buying more shoes! always do a good job and always when promised! they're busy as they're good!

My wife, housemate, and I used the mail-in service. We all got the La Sportiva Vibram XS 1/2 sole on La Sportiva TC Pros, Otakis, and Tarantalace. The TC Pros were my favorite climbing shoe I've even owned and Cheshire Shoes ruined them. They were in reasonably good shape when I sent them in, no holes, the rand was in good shape, the soles were just running a bit thin. The workmanship of the repair was sloppy, the rand was sanded very thin on the transition between the original rand and the material they added. The sole was sanded back behind the toe of the shoe. My toe now hangs off the tip of the sole. Needless to say, I regret sending them in.

Have your walking boots PU midsoles crumbled? If so, Cheshire Shoe Repairs is the place to have them repaired. In time PU midsoles disintegrate and crumble. The manufacturers claim it's through lack of use, but I believe it's to limit their lifespan! Cheshire Shoe Repairs has repaired three pairs of boots for me. On request they will repair with an EVA midsole, that will never crumble, and fit a Vibram outsole. They will put on a new rand to hide where the previous moulded sole was mounted. However, this repair will make the boots less cushioned so the trick is to buy an gel insole. Sorbothane Double Strike is my favourite but you will lose room in the boot. Cheshire Shoe Repairs do an excellent job and I will continue to use them, but take my tip on the repair, because moulded soles will also have PU. Learn how to spot a PU midsole so you can avoid this issue on your next purchase of boots. Aussie style (Blundstone / Rossi) boots also have this type of PU sole, so be warned!

CRP did a great job resoling my Red Wing shoes with new Vibram soles. Even better than the originals. Great quality of work and excellent service. I used their postal service. Highly recommended.
