Possibly the worst Travelodge I’ve stayed in! Staff were great & the location was perfect, but the place felt old and needs some tlc. Room was tiny & I didn’t realise I’d only get a single bed. Bedding only just fit the bed and the towels provided had dirt marks on. Was pretty noisy but not sure if that was from other guests or next door. Ok for one night but very expensive for £143!!

Had a great stay. If I had to be picky, could do with a little more space for clothes and curtains could do with being blackouts. Good value for money. Great staff. Great location.

So I paid 60 quid for a double room which was TINY. only 2 plug sockets which was at the desk area and no bed side tables either. The room was either too hot or cold, had a swimming pool smell to it and the hallways were even worse. The bathroom was apparently cleaned but had a puddle of water next to the shower when I entered. Also no lift access to those who are disabled and have wheelchairs. Alright if you can walk upstairs and just need a bed for the night. Next time I'll go somewhere else.

The location is wonderful but the hotel itself isn’t brilliant, especially when you’re not staying on your own. There’s only enough drinks to support one guest. Showers range from lukewarm to freezing cold and come with no toiletries beyond a towel. The rooms are very stuffy and the housekeeping is rubbish. They don’t even bother to make your beds after you’ve set off for the day. You can get by as a place to sleep/wash but that’s it. If you stay here, be sure to bring your own toiletries and maybe a few Teabags along the way.

Bed was comfortable and hotel was well located for the City Centre but that was where the fun stopped. Haven't stayed in a Travelodge for a while and this experience made me remember why. Cafe Bar was a soulless as a graveyard on a quiet night; it seriously needs some sprucing up. Even though we were the only customers our food took an hour to come out, and it wasn't that great anyway. Last but not least the hotel at night was very noisy with clomping from upstairs and noisy guests. Won't be staying again.

Situated almost in the centre of Canterbury, this 300 Yr old hotel is possibly the cheapest in the city! It is clean & functional & there's nothing really to fault...OK, the single glazed window frames are showing a little sign of rust but don't let that put you off- we paid £37 for the night-cheaper than 90% of air bnb's in the area! The night we arrived the bar & kitchen weren't open but you've got The 2 Sawyers pub & phoebe's cafe only a couple of minutes away. Parking is catered for with a small one in front of the hotel (with 2 disabled bays which are free) & an overflow one big enough for vans (if you're working away from home) Situated between the hotel & pub. So maybe not the venue for a romantic getaway, but to stay on a budget-ideal! Just check the prices of accommodation in & around Canterbury & try & find cheaper!

A bit quaint place, maybe not like from Chaucer’s times but Dickens wouldn’t have found himself out of place here ;) We didn’t mind as we are foreigners and tourists but I can understand people who complain. The only thing that really put me off was the mildew in the shower. The beds were comfortable, I’d have preferred the windows to open properly but I understand that safety is the priority. We were worried it might be noisy but we only heard seagulls late at night and occasionally some youngsters coming home. The guy at the reception was very friendly, helped us understand the parking paying machine ;) The location is unbeatable, we saw tower of the cathedral from our windows.

Staff friendly rooms very sparce bed nowhere to put anything at side. 2 plastic seats 8 coat hangers on small railNo drawers wardrobe just a wooden shelf and legs two sockets for kettle fan and any thing you wanted to charge.. Mirror on wall. V small bathroom with wash basin we had to ask for plug small shelf shower very slow. I hand towel 2 other towels for 2 people could ask for new towels. Bed sheets clean. Three nights we were there no one emptied bins cleaned bathroom or sorted bed. Bar and finning room. Very sparce. Eat out. It was located in excellent position.

We came down to be closer to a wedding, this was the only availability in the area.Stayed in room 208The neighbours opposite (think was two ladies) where talking LOUDLY all night, the reception man banged on their door to tell them to stop smoking (they were vaping)The windows were rusted where they’re single pane and metal ..so in the morning they had pools of condensation on the window sills. The shower was rusty and the whole vibe of the bathroom gave prison vibes. The bed was broken, we were getting ready about 9:30/10 and there was a few men in the hallway making a noise, when I went out to get breakfast , could see they’re delivering new mattresses. he was eager to get us out so he could put new mattresses in.. he told me he only had 1 day to do it.Slept really bad , neighbours were noisy , the one sleeping in the room next to us was snoring so loudly. The breakfast in the morning was like I was in a hostelThere was no milk to put in with my tea bag… the sausages where half cardboard , orange and apple juice where from pound land , even the apple I picked up was a little wrinklyI felt to me that Travelodge really do scrimp their pennies. It’s my fault, I should have travelled the extra distance and paid a bit more lol.It was a humbling reminder of where I came from. 10 years ago, this would have been fine.
