Benenden Hospital

If this is what the future private health care to , god forbid, replace the NHS, then God help us.I traved all the way from london to this hospital yesterday only to have the same diagnosis and test I had already had with my local ENT clinic. The consultant's priority seemed to be how quick he could get me out and his tone felt so umpleasant.At least in my local ENT clinic they showed more compassion and referred me to UCLfor more test. I was happy to sit and wait for this NHS appointment in February 2024 if it was not for my symptoms getting more severe again which prompted me to contact Benenden.I sent them the outcome of the initial diagnostics in my local ENT clinic along with the referral letter to UCL. But they chose to carry out the exact tests and dismissing carrying out any further test. The consultant, at some point, said my symptoms don't have any thing to do with my ear. I asked what could be causing my symptoms then?". His reply was" I don't know

I had kidney stones removed here and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else. Mr Mackie listened to me and helped, understood the pain and dealt with it very quickly. Mr Mackie is an incredible doctor, him and his team were amazing throughout my treatment and I can't thank him/them enough. I'm now going to live my life happy again, thank you all.

I have just received a knee replacement at Benenden by Alex Chipperfield what a man the treatment I received was first class from start to finish I can't speak to highly of him .Juliet and the nursing team where amazingWhat should of been a frightening experience turned out to b a pleasure many thanks to the whole team at Benenden

Recently had a CT Guided ablation . Mo and all his team were outstanding from the moment that I arrived until leaving . Thank you all so very much . Smashing hospital and staff !

This isnt a one star this is no star rating.I recently came to the Benenden hospital to see a gynaecologist I had deeply researched this consultant to ensure she could meetmy medical needs. I paid £1000 up front which included 2 consultations, mri scan and had to wait 2 months of been in pain from start to finish, just to be told by the consultant that she couldn't do a full hysterectomy due to my medical needs (endometriosis) and the procedure been todifficult even though when I researched her it said she dealt with endometriosis and hysterectomy, even the receptionist comifmed this when I booked my first appiontment and gave me very positive feedback on this consultant.I found the consultant to be very rude and none sympathic quote she said (no women comes in here and asked for a full hysterectomy) I felt very disheartened and didn't know where to turn. I was doing this for medical reasons which I had been advised by other professionals and for her to make this Comment was unnecessary and unprofessional.I found another private hospital (Spire Hospital) which I was seen straightaway within 2 weeks and didn't ask for money upfront either. The consultant had no concerns and was very confident in answering our questions and previous health problems. After seeing the new consultant once I was operated on with in a month with no problems and had excellent care. I would think very carefully about using the Benenden hospital.For any women that have any gynaecological problems I would strongly recommend the Spire hospital in Tonbridge Wells as I receive excellent service from start to finish.

Quicker to go through the GP unfortunately. I've been waiting 3 weeks for test results that take 48 hours to show the issues, and just been told no appointments until mid-July to get the results. They have clearly taken on too many members.

I've been paying into this company for over 16 years. First time I use their services I am left very disappointed. The first visit the surgeon was unengaging, struggling to make any eye contact, fixated with his computer screen, no empathy & only informative at a basic level when constantly probed for answers to questions. Whilst I understand he needs to know if I'm paying privately -YES- but asking me three times is excessive. He seemed far more interested in the money he would have been getting than my treatment. I will not be returning & will be cancelling my subscription.

An amazing service for a what is a reasonable amount per month. I was looking at a whopping 51 week wait with the NHS but with a letter from my GP I was seen here within the week. Your welcomed into what looks like a 5 star hotel, where your directed into your zone area. I was 30 minutes early for my appointment but waited a mere minute before being called in. I actually felt like the consultant cared and further tests were arranged within the week. Theres facilities available all under one roof with a decent restaurant too. Everything it amazingly clean and fresh and you feel like your getting your monies worth. Private healthcare is the future and this place does it well. So grateful that i have this as to wait almost a year is a joke!

My daughter had a tonsillectomy today with Mr Henry Sharp - absolutely excellent care from start to finish. Really happy with the great care we received from everyone at Benenden Hospital.

My husband had knee surgery on 22 February, we had to be at the hospital for 7am, the staff on Garland ward are wonderful, so polite caring and extremely professional, Kate was I think his named nurse, she was so helpful and kind, explaining everything we needed to know, both before and after the surgery, unfortunately I can’t remember the other staffs names, but I have to say everyone was lovely. This hospital is amazing.
