Jay cut my hair today, what a legend. Ive got very curly hair and people normally get it wrong. Hes done it perfectly and a really nice guy to boot. Cheers!

Tucked away in the north east corner of Palmeira square, Gwydyr is hands down simply one of the best barbers in Brighton & hove. The service and quality is unmatched and not to mention the professionalism and kindness of the staff. And what really makes Gwydyr a top notch barbers is the warmth you feel when you enter the shop, I’ve been using this barbers for years and I have never been let down. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic haircut! Best I’ve had in a long time! Jay was super chatty, very friendly and made me feel very welcome. From a male with long hair I am used to getting poor cuts in barbers but jay certainly knew what he was doing! And solo the in shop dog is so friendly and good company for kids waiting for your cut. Highly recommend!

Gwydyr is where I have been getting my haircut for the last few years and I've never had a complaint. As a man with long hair it's hard to find somewhere where they can cut it properly and not at mad prices. The guys are also super friendly and welcoming. You don't need to book as walk ins are welcome and I've never had to wait that long to be sorted.

Great barbers I have been seen by both Mark and Jay, doesn’t matter who you see they will both do a great job. Friendly, experienced, great banter but they take their work seriously. This place is a gem and I’ve been using Gwydyr barbers for about 7 years now, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I get my hair and my beard trimmed/organised. Also can’t not mention Solo the dog who will always give me a nice welcome. All in all can’t fault the place best hairdressers in Brighton and Hove.

Brilliant haircut fom Jay - am really happy with it and would highly recommend. Had never been to this barbers before but will definitely be returning. Jay was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Also provided great advice about products /styling for my hair type.

This place is an absolute gem and Jay is simply amazing! Not only is he passionate about his work, he genuinely knows/understands the different hair types and exactly how to cut them. Having curly hair myself, I have lost count of the number of other barbers or salons that have completely ruined my hair over the years but Jay has given me the best haircuts ever leaving it easy to manage and style etc (I go back regularly now to maintain it as the prices are very fair too). And don't think it is clippers only here as these guys do scissor cuts too (what I have) to amazing standard and better than salons in my opinion...just check out all Jay’s trophies (which he is very proud of) or ask him to show you the photos from competitions/women fashion shows etc that he has done. The technical detail and execution is incredible so ladies, I would openly recommend Jay to you too as he can do it all. Many thanks Jay...can’t believe it only took me 10 years to find you!
