Clifford Whitworth Library

A lot of computers, helpful staff, wide selection of books. Definitely check out the deck chairs located on the first and second floor :) It makes studying so much more enjoyable. Almost feels as if you were in Bali

i have spent uncountable nights in the library, 2nd floor is best place to do your work if you prefer silent place.

Cool and nice place to study

Really nice library with a great selection of books. Staff are helpful and the atmosphere is perfect for late night studying. Thanks to the staff member with the pink hair who helped me find the book I needed for my HR project. However, I did notice a funky eggy smell on the second floor. It seems like there is a phantom farter on the loose so minus one star!

It's a really good library but please can we have some better heating. We're entering the winter months and it's really cold.

Clifford Withworth is University of Salford's Peel Park Campus Library, joined to the lady hale building, while facing Chapman and Newton building. It is a 2 storey huge library complex that doesn't appear so at first glance, but opens up when you take the time to explore. It has an impressive collection of books which can be accessed both physically and online, and you can also loan them for a minimum of 7days too.The ground and first floors are quite okay if you’re not doing any serious work, but if you’re going for real quiet, then the second floor is where you wanna be. You can book for study rooms on the library app if you want some privacy, and you have the room to yourself for about 4hrs. You can sign in to the computers provided if you can’t bring yours, or loan one a laptop if you want to.If you need to take a quick break from long hours of studying, there are comfortable chairs scattered around the library where you can relax, prop your feet on the table and rest your back, or you take it to the wellness center located on the 1st floor. There you can freeze and microwave your food, have a lil chat with friends, or take a quick nap if you so wish.The library is usually open from 8-7pm 24/7, but after 7 you have to access it with your school Id. Just know the library is for you as a student to utilize to the fullest. And if you need anything whatsoever, the library staff is always there to help. Don’t hesitate to ask for their assistance.

A wonderful library with nice 3 floors, the top floor is a quite place. However, if you want to chat the first floor is the right place.

Such a nice library, I access it via SCONUL and I'm really impressed. Very spacious, bright, and clean. New fav lib.
