I've done a few Ghyll Scrambles before but this was my first with Path to Adventure. The routes were well planned and the instructors excellent. The equipment provided was first class and of high quality, everything you needed for a truly great experience! We were permitted to challenge ourselves at our own level but always with safety in mind. Instructions were clear and to put it simply, this was a first class experience. Memories made for a lifetime and a great service - thoroughly recommended!

We did 2 excursions with Path to Adventure. The first was beginners rock climbing for my 12 and 15 year olds. We had Adam as a guide who fully explained everything, made us feel safe and looked after and most importantly made the trip great fun. My boys will definitely be rock climbing again in the future. The second excursion was Ghyll Scrambling with Heather as a guide. All 4 of us participated and absolutely loved it! We had so much fun climbing waterfalls and jumping into pools. Heather was also excellent. I highly recommend Path to Adventure for anyone visiting the Lake District.

We went on the dark skies canoeing experience. Heather and Al are friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us safely but allowing everyone to try out new things whilst keeping our safety at heart. Their pre-experience information is spot on. I had questions prior to our trip which were answered quickly and helpfully. We all had a great time...Will definitely book further adventures with them and can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Path to Adventure is a small, local, professionally run outdoor adventure company which I would highly recommend. We undertook two activities with them recently.First, I took my teenage son climbing - Al guided us that day and found a perfect spot out of the wind off of the Wrynose Pass. The scenery was amazing, the climbs were great fun with varying degrees of challenge, and we were in very safe hands. The kit was up-to-date and well-cared for. Then the whole family went Ghyll Scrambling in the Esk Gorge with Heather. That was a fun day out with lots of smiles. It is not everyday that you get to swim in the wild, climb up waterfalls, and jump into pools from increasingly intimidating heights. The wetsuits, booties and flotation jackets allowed us to feel warm and safe and all the kit was in good condition. Heather clearly knew the environment and was able to match the degree of challenge with our own levels of competence.

Amazing fun completing the Ghyll scramble at Coniston. Perfect for our group of 10 year olds and the adults! Very well organised, great communication. Our guide Scott was brilliant with the kids and very patient. An expensive afternoon but definitely worth it - one to remember! The kids are already asking when we can do it again!

We had a Morning session with Heather which was absolutely fantastic, she gave us a really good introduction on the techniques we would use and ensured we were confident (taking us to a sheltered bay) before heading out on the trip - during the trip she was extremely friendly and very easy to get along with whilst also giving us a great tour of the area including heading to a remote island for a quick explore - we were blown away with the experience and will now be buying our own canoe! We would definitely recommend Path to Adventure and plan to book some of their other amazing adventures in the future! Thanks so much Heather and team for an incredible morning out!

We (my husband and two young kids) had a fantastic time ghyll scrambling earlier this week. Al and Heather are brilliant guides - friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed. They made our kids feel completely at ease and really helped their confidence grow. The beck was a beautiful place to be, and we had so much fun climbing and walking up the river and up waterfalls. Such a memorable experience and we would recommend it to everyone!

We had a brilliant time gyhll scrambling with Path to Adventure. Heather was a great guide and ensured it was suitable for our children too. The equipment was professional and in good condition and the experience was great fun, suitably challenging but safe for all. Everyone from our 5 year old to adults had fun!

I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Adam guided my family (including my 8 and 9 year old daughters) up Church Beck this summer. He has an excellent manner with children (and adults!), encouraging but not putting any pressure on them. My kids did jumps they thought they couldn't do, and loved it. We felt safe at all times, and had a really great afternoon ghyll scrambling. The equipment is very good too. Thanks Adam!
