Friendly staff , knew how to make you feel at ease in a stressful situation after our dog had emergency surgery. She was well looked after, and when we went to collect her she went back to the staff as to say good bye. Highly recommend

The vet place was clean and tidy and when it was my turn the vet took her time and asked lots of questions about duke it was great to know he was being looked after

The vet care was great, although hugely expensive that was to be expected. However I'm not happy that it has taken two weeks after we paid Vets Now for them to submit the claim to our insurer, very quick to take your money but seemingly not too concerned when you get it back. Disappointed.

Staff were excellent in helping my little boy when he had toxic poisoning and cannot fault the care.Do think though that pet owners are being robbed when they have an emergency with their pet. Pets now company figures show £12million profit! Wow… it just shows normal hard working people are being taking advantage of when their loved pet is in an emergency situation. Appreciate companies need to show profit but that is excessive.

Vets Now were wonderful when my cat got himself into a bit of a pickle 'out of hours'. They met me at the door, immediately took the cat and started treatment. They kept me informed throughout on how he was doing, what the plan was regarding treatment, and any follow up needed.I couldn't fault them. They even made making a claim on the pet insurance easy.

The worst vets I’ve ever dealt with (and not even by choice). Gave my cat an accidental overdose, claimed they would keep her in on fluids all weekend free of charge (clinically required to deal with the overdose) and then CHARGED THE ENTIRE COST TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY. Over £1k that they claimed they would cover. The reception staff are friendly but some of the vets were rude and patronising and their insurance team is impossible to get in contact with as they don’t reply to emails. My kitten had a dislocated hip and needed surgery and then an overdose THAT WAS THEIR FAULT. This vets (who I only used as a partner practice to my local for an overnight stay) have made this process horrendous and stressful and I’m still trying to fix it. Very very unhappy.

Such a polite and efficient service. From the moment I called, I was out at ease and given easy instructions on what to do. The care given to my pet was amazing. Very thorough and attentive. The staff there are lovely and you can tell they love what they are doing. Can’t thank them enough.

Disgusting service would not even rate Vets now. They ask for 35 days not including weekends or bank holidays to answer a complaint and do not have the decency to even let you know it would take longer. They only reply once you email them again stating 35 days is up. Do not take your treasured pets to any Vets now surgery they do not care. I visited the emergency clinic at Tilehurst Road, Reading. On the 24th September 2023. My dog Coco got an object stuck in her throat I got to the surgery within about 15 mins of this happening. We see a vet quite quickly who said they would take her put her on oxygen and canulate her, give her an xray and remove the object. I asked when this would be done as she was really struggling to breathe. The vet advised it will be done within the hour and I should get an update in one to two hrs. No updateI telephoned the vets at 16.18pm ask for an update and was told she was just being x rayed and I would get an update once this was done. Surprise no update yet again.I telephoned again at 17.49pm to ask what was happening told I would get an update but still no call. I was advised the vet was on another call to another customer and they would get vet to call me back. No callback.I telephoned the clinic at 19.36pm I advised still waiting for update. The lady advised Coco was being sedated and taken for an xray. I advised that should of already have been done. The lady advised Coco has taken a back seat as other emergencies came in and that I would get an update in about one hour. Received a call at 20.34pm spoke to the vet who advised xray was done and showed bone was deep in her throat. They tried to remove it but was unsuccessful and she would need to be referred to a specialist. I was asked if she was insured and how much for. Vet advised she was waiting for a callback from specialist as to when they could take her. Jumped in the car with my nephew went to the vets clinic in case the specialist said to bring her straight away.We asked to see the xray and the nurse brought a laptop into the room and showed us. The nurse stated what was needed was a telescopic camera and a tube which they could put clamp instrument into that they may have been able to get the bone out, but they don't have the equipment there. We were shocked as their website states clinic is fully equipped.I was told by the vet to attend the clinic at 7.30am next morning to get her to the specialist for 9am.I then received a call from the vet at 4.35am in the morning saying Coco has taken a turn for the worse her breathing was alot worse and they were worried fluid had gone on her lungs. They had to put her in an oxygen tent. The vet said her only chance of survival is getting her to the specialist. When I arrived at the vets in the morning with my nephew the receptionist stated before I get my dog I would need to pay the bill first. I was totally appalled by this statement especially after being told by the vet getting her to the other vets Hamiltons in High Wycombe was her only chance of survival. I told her Coco was Insured her reply was where is the paperwork then. I explained I did not know I had to bring it in I was not advised of this. The receptionist said loudly yes you was you were told yesterday to bring it in. I told her absolutely not I was only asked by the vet how much was she insured for. The vet was standing at the side listening to the full conversation and did not say a word. Also knowing how urgent it was to get Coco to the other vets I find it totally appalling. I thought vets were supposed to care about animals and their wellbeing. I had to go online download insurance paperwork and email it across to them. I was then held up further waiting for paperwork to be printed that I needed to sign. The only thing the receptionist was worried about as she said loudly was she was having a bad as she was pregnant and this was causing her baby brain. Coco ended up with aspiration pneumonia cause of their incompetence. I would like to thank Hamiltons vets for saving her after Vets now lack of care.
