Signature Funerals

We approached Signature Funerals after my mum passed away recently - deciding to go with a small, local, focused funeral director was the best choice we could have made. Hannah was incredible from the get-go; she made the whole process incredibly straightforward, and was incredibly flexible in supporting us to give mum the right send-off. For something that is so intrinsically challenging to organise, Hannah worked professional magic in making it painless, stress-free and a proper celebration of mum's life. I cannot recommend her, and Signature, highly enough. Thank you Hannah.

Excellent experience with Signature funerals. They are a breath of fresh air when you need it most. Very caring and attentive. Easy to communicate with modern methods. Offered some very interesting alternative ideas to the old way of doing things. Very happy with the service they provided.

Review on behalf of my mum;I would highly recommend Marcia and Hannah at Signature Funerals for the service that they provided when my husband died. This was the first time I had to deal with arranging a funeral but Marcia took my daughters and I through the process and what was needed. This was done in a very caring, friendly and dignified manner.Marcia and Hannah ensured that everything we wanted for the funeral was achieved. We had wanted the Order of Service to have lots of pictures and this caused difficulties with the printer because of the size of the document but they persevered and the final result was just as we wanted.I was able to go and see my husband each day at the chapel of rest. They even opened up on Saturday just so I could visit him.They took good care of my husband too.Finally, I had expected a bigger bill for the funeral.Thank you Marcia and Hannah for all your help and care at this difficult time for us.

Excellent service from start to finish. My brothers and I wanted a simple, no-fuss funeral for our sister. Hannah understand our requirements, was very sensitive and there was absolutely no upselling ... she got where we were coming from and delivered it.

Having visited Signature Funerals to pay my respects to a dear friend (out of hours). I cannot express the level of compassion and professionalism I received.Visible upset, I was taken into the Chapel and was made a cup of tea before anything else was done.Once I'd got myself together, I was talked through the process of what things would be like once I'd entered the rest room.As I'd worked within the funeral profession for many years, I explained that I knew what to expect, but could not believe how calming and reassuring this must be if loved had never experienced it before.The care and attention to detail they had given my late friend was above and beyond anything I'd known.My friend looked so peaceful and at rest, I cannot tell you how much it eased my mind.On the day of the Funeral, again everything was done with some much compassion, which I'm sure was a comfort for her Family.You could see them taking time out making sure my friends son was kept informed of what would happen next with a comforting arm of reassurance.It was so lovely to see.I cannot thank these ladies enough for their guidance and support.Obviously I do not wish anyone to be in the situation of needing such a service, but if you are, I cannot recommend Signature Funerals enough.Thank you

Thankfully planning for the passing of a loved one doesn’t happen very often, but when that time comes it can be unbelievably overwhelming, and there is no bigger decision than who will be trusted with the funeral arrangements and most importantly caring for your loved one after life.This was our position over Christmas, we knew my Nan was coming to the end of her life and the inevitable question arose around what ware we going to do when the time comes. Quite simply we hadn’t allowed ourselves to think about it.We contacted Hannah and David at Signature Funerals and are so glad we did, within a day of making contact we were sat in their beautiful office discussing next steps. There was no hard sell, just coffee, biscuits and a practical yet heartfelt discussion about what has to happen and what they could offer. We knew immediately that we wanted Signature funerals with us at such a critical time.Merely 48 hours later at tea-time on the Friday before Christmas we had to make the call and they were immediately available, taking care of absolutely everything.Signature listen to you and have the knowledge and ability to provide a service completely bespoke to your needs which they certainly achieved for us. Their warmth, care and professionalism really helped during a difficult time especially over Christmas. There were many subtle personal touches along the way that made us feel special, valued and supported.The care given to my Nan and our family following her death was first class and I cannot thank Hannah and David enough for everything they have done, we got everything we wanted and more. I cannot thank the team at Signature enough. Their attention to detail, caring nature, dignity and respect were second to none. The service was so personal.Being a local 'bespoke' funeral director we expected the price to be more than it was. I know the price is not always a consideration when planning a funeral. I initially chose Signature Funerals as they were a small, independent Funeral Directors who knew the area and the locale. I could not have made a better decision.Whilst I dealt mainly with Hannah, both she and Marcia were kind, compassionate, understanding and extremely professional. From the moment I first contacted them, they ensured that my late wife was looked after in an exemplary manner and that both myself and my family were supported at all times. Nothing was too much trouble.I cannot thank them enough.

Incredibly caring service provided by Hannah and Marcia. The funeral parlour itself is decorated and furnished with such thought and care that it helps create a sense of comfort as soon as you walk in. Signature funerals helped us through a very sad time when we said our final goodbye to our lovely Mum. Even when they collected my Mum from her care home to go to the chapel of rest, a thoughtful card and posy of lavender was placed on Mum’s bed. Little thoughtful touches like that go a long way at such a sad time. Excellent service. Thank you.
