My nan and I love to come here once a week or two and tonight was the best service we’ve had in a long time! Dylan was wonderful, very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. All super friendly (and they had a great Black Friday voucher!!)

Brought the aged Mother in Law and she wolfed the lot down! That included dessert!Nice calm atmosphere and they took account of our request for a quiet seat.Very nice food and good choices. Only fly? The lime flavour I tried in my cola tasted like bog biscuits!

Carvery was nice, but it just lacks a bit of taste in the vegetables. I had beef and pork, which was cooked well and tasted lovely. Cauliflower cheese is not very nice, and needs to be cooked differently in my opinion. Desserts are really nice.

The first smell you get as soon as you walk in is a whiff of urine. The carpets need to be cleaned or whatever it is that is causing that smell.I was here with family who usually dine here for Sunday lunch. The food is edible but one mouthful was enough for me.I would give it 0 stars if I could but the staff are lovely so I’ll give it 2 stars.

Arrived at mid day and had not booked, a warm welcome and our server was Terri, who was polite and professional and very upbeat. She made you feel like you were the only people she was serving and nothing was too much trouble.Food was good and atmosphere warm, will definitely return.

Just a typical Toby with check in parking which is understandable.Went for breakfast which was good value but surprised to see Yorkshire puddings and gravy as a breakfast item when there was only one type of egg available (fried) on the buffet. The rest of the food was plentiful but very average.Service was disinterested, despite booking we were kept waiting for over 10 minutes to be shown to a table. One final gripe the air con only worked in the centre of the bar area, sitting to one side by a window (none of which could be opened) was way too hot.Good value but very average, won't rush to return

We booked as a large group and wasn’t disappointed. The food was of exceptional quality and presentation and our server Will looked after us really well, he was a credit to the restaurant and couldn’t do enough for us. Indeed every staff member was great. We dined from the festive menu which was incredible value for money. Well done guys we had a fab time, thank you.

The only way to beat a Toby's Carvery, is to visit your mum. We went for the carvery specifically as we have never had a bad one. Meat was hot, juicy, and tender. Vegetables were fresh and tasty (especially the cabbage and the onions). Portion size was great, and they do crackling. And the roast potatoes are consistently tasty. Condiments are plentiful, and the price was good value for money. I can cook a decent roast myself (thanks mum), but Toby is just as good, and saves on time and washing up. Definitely going again in the future.

Today I went for lunch at this restaurant alone as my mate was at work . At reception I was told that it’s 30 mins wait or sit at the bar , as I was alone , I said it’s fine . No one told me ,I need to pay at the bar first . I went to the bar and asked the bar tender ,is it sit anywhere ? He said yes ! He didn’t tell me as well that I need to pay first . After that i joined the queue ,after 20 min I manage to get my food and went to the bar section . The girl at the reception checkin said to me very rudely ! Next time you pay first at the bar ! I said excuse me ? Do you think I am going to make a runner ? She was rude and the bartender as-well said I try to tell you !! It was such a racist and rude way ,she said in front of all people . I felt insulted and left leaving my food on the table . I have worked as a deputy GM for whitbread . This was purely no experience staff at the reception . No one said sorry as usual or did anything . Food is great but the customer service is 0 . I will never go again for sure .
