For a small town it was a marvellous show lots of stalls selling things also food stalls plenty to eat and loads of shows to watch will definitely go again.

This is one of or possible the Best Country Shows in the North of England, you will not be disappointed if you like:- Horses,Dogs,Sheep,Cattle.Birds and People. In the past there have been fly pasts,motorcycle daredevils, wrestling and the list goes on.

Not how I remember it, no sheep or cattle on the Saturday,fur and feather hidden away, beer tent is now the biggest tent there. A lot of the time while I was there not much happening in the main arena.However, I still enjoyed it, it still retains a little of the local country show as opposed to Wolsingham which is no longer for locals and is very commercial.All in all a well organised and enjoyable show at Stanhope.

An excellent show on Sunday 11 September, brilliantly organised. A variety of programme events throughout the day including Clydesdale & heavy horses, ponies, gymkhana, dog show, lurchers, terriers and whippets, dog agility, The Weardale Clog dancers, Ridgeside Falconry, Paul Swift Precision Stunt team, vintage vehicles, tractors, stationery engines, motor bikes, craft marquees, trade stands galore, food court, fun fair - to name just a few.

Lovely show lots going on. Two days of the countryside, lots of stalls. My favourite is the heavy horses each year.

Great little show for people of Stanhope and Weardale with friendly people and great independent stands. The 'stunt' cars show however was absolutely dire. Sorry chaps but it was boring and I didn't see any stunts, just a few poorly executed handbrake turns.
