Great visitor centre for a bite to eat after a nice walk in Killiecrankie woods. Good historical and environmental information too.

Paid car park (£3 at time of posting) with visitors center that includes a cafe and separate toilets. The walk gives good views of the viaduct and river. The start of the walk has steep rough steps which would be challenging for visitors with mobility difficulties.

£3 for parking is very steep. I appreciate that it goes to conservation of area, but very unsure where this has been spent! Looks to me like they spend the money at their visitor centre/gift shop/ cafe. The path down to soldiers leap is very steep dirt steps, and if you walk along to Gary Bridge, the path is very rocky, and uneven in some parts. It's a nice walk by the river, but nothing special.

Great woodland walk alongside the river Garry. A short flight of fairly steep steps lead from the visitor centre down to the riverbank. The “soldiers leap” is slightly upstream from the centre but the main path goes downstream alongside the base of the railway viaduct. A comfortable walk for around 2km reaches a green foot bridge with views of the the river. Plenty parking, nice tearoom and toilets at the visitor centre.

Great little stop on the way to the North, amazing fresh cakes and food for sit in or takeaway, lots of souvenirs and gifts, toilets and nice walks around, parking as well but it is paid for.

Cool place. A huge range of food from British breakfast to soup for lunch, salads, pizza, pies, rolls, hot and cold drinks. And everything is very tasty. Delicious and incredibly beautiful gluten-free dessert. I recommend.

What a lovely autumnal walk.Beautiful changing of the leaves at this place with some of the tallest trees I’ve ever seen.A few waypoints visited on this walk. Even the opportunity for bungee jumping. The cafe was beautiful, lovely cake selection. The home made soup was delicious and filled us with something warm after walking 7km on the trails.Only downside is, I got something from the gift shop and had to wait in a long line of people ordering food to pay for my item.
