Lidl

I used to go to this Branch years ago and buy vegetables and fruit as their selection is pretty good.I only recently visited and I was glad to see some nice options for Vegans and Vegetarians plus a nice bakery - although I can't buy anything from open counters( I worked in Supermarkets far too long ) - and a good selection of dry goods.Prices are okay, despite the cost of living increase I can still buy a bag of groceries for under a tenner which is quite a miracle these days.The Staff is very abrupt and not the happiest lot but there are plenty of self checkouts so I don't have to deal with anyone..

In the car park the billboards on the wall are hanging very low and they have extremely sharp edges.My wife was walking towards the store from the car park, the pavement is quite narrow, she accidentally hit her forehead with the sharp metal edge of the billboard,it caused a deep cut and plenty of bleeding. I did mentioned the incident to the management nothing happened.This issue must be resolved before it causes further serious injuries.

This is a relatively large Lidl with a lot of excellent produce. The quality of their meat, especially the more expensive matured steaks, is excellent.One of the best things about coming here is that they make fresh bread and pastries throughout the day. Time your visit and you have a choice of the most delicious hot bread or pastries; continental style.The fruit and vegetables are fresh here.This Lidl also has special offers on items which vary from things like clothes, gadgets, tools, household items etc on Sundays and Thursdays.Best of all, the prices are cheap and the place does not break the bank. They now accept credit cards, except American Express.Finally, parking spaces are a big premium here. The car park, unfortunately, is always pretty full and this may put off some visitors.

who’s gonna eat these? Is it even Hygienic?This is the worst thing you can see in a shop. So unpleasant and I would never ever eat those from the bakery.

If I could give zero stars, I would.Absolutely appalling staff behaviour. To cut the story short, me and my wife were looking at one of items (clothing) displayed in the shelf that was available for the public.We were aggressively lectured by one of the staff members, when we wanted to look at one of the clothing available on the shelf. When we asked what was the problem she run away and complained about us to the manager, making a scene so the whole shop could hear it.One manager came and we tried to explain that we didn't do anything wrong, we just looked at the merchandise. He lectured us that we don't understand that the aisle is closed. Well, it wasn't closed, it was available. When we stood our ground, they called security manager, who treated us the similar way, making us feel even more uncomfortable, telling us that me and my wife shouldn't talk over each other" and "If one talks and the other one interrupts the conversation is over and you will have to leave the store". He also said that this particular item will be available for sale from next day and it won't register in the till.Then the other manager came and said "You guys do what you need to do" and apologised for the situation. We took one item

Very good quality clothing, some styles are a bit on the mature side but there is something to suit everyone, depending on your age. I just love it here.

My dad went shopping in this store like he usually does, The asian security asked him to leave his bag out, My dad is new to the country so he left it outside thinking this might be a rule . My dad noticed that everyone else in the store had their belongings with them , as my dad walked out of the store after paying for his grocery he was stopped again by the security asking if he paid. My dad questioned him on why his bag was kept outside, the security lied and whispered in his own language saying these people looked like robbers so I kept his bag. My dad was very angry and returned home. His items from bag were missing, a form police complaint has been made of this incident. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour of the security to judge someone by his looks . Pathetic that such people are allowed to work

Extremely cheap compared to nearby places

Decent sized store. But awkward in areas but fully stocked and good prices even with prices going up, quality is good. The self-service machines do not work properly and continue to cause delays and repeated aid from staff to correct. Store is not large enough food for the amount of customers and this is highlighted when trying to queue during busy times.

I hate this shopping experience. Tight aisles. Over busy. Long queues. Only shop there as it is convenient. Why should they change. Obviously a very profitable store.
