MHA Herondale/Kingfisher House - Nursing & Dementia Care Home

My sister Denise Beck was in Herondale for about 18months before she passed December 2020 .The love and care was outstanding .The support myself and my mother had was wonderful .They all became part of our family and caring thank them enough A wonderful home thank you again .

Unsure who it is but you get staff walking round with dirty nappies in their hands without a nappy bag and the fact that flat 2 had 10 parcels come a day and flat 3 has a strong wee smell. Do not recommend

Mom was only in Kingfisher for the last few weeks of her life The care and compassion of the staff to mom and us was second to none

Sadly my mom was diagonised suddenly with terminal cancer last August (2016) . She had two weeks in hospital and two weeks in Kingfisher Nursing Home. My mom and also us as a family were treated with the upmost respect and dignity. This was the most traumatic time in our lives knowing that we were loosing our mom. I can't remember all the staffs names but Thankyou Debbie the manager, Dawn , Margaret, June, Radka, Laura and everyone else who watched over my mom. Very special people. Do not care and do not listen. If your relative is sent there for palative care they don't bother because they're going to die anyway. They don't bother setting up care plans until family complain after 2 weeks because they said they thought they wouldn't last that long. Relative ended up in hospital a few times due to lack of care and with serious bed sores. Staff prefer to chat and mess about instead of caring. Manager hasn't got a clue what goes on and did not respond to complaints.

I can’t thank the team as much. My gratitude is continued throughout the whole time I’m there visiting every day and also whilst I’m away. The staff are wonderful with him and for him.

My Mom came here 1st and now my Dad is at Kingfisher. Lovely carehome with staff that care. My parents are always clean and well cared for. My Dad always tells me when visiting how lovely everyone is. Approachable and helpful management, so pleased I choose this lovely nursing carehome for my precious parents ❤️

My husband was in this care home care was very good my husband was there nearly 5ys thankyou to everyone lost him 2019
