The Enchanted Forest, Pitlochry

Really disappointed with our visit this year. I have been the the forest previously and the lights were great - a lot of attention was put into ensuring the lightshow was meaningful and each installation was different. This year the theme of under the sea / in the deep was very commercialised. Walking from area to area, there were clear paths that had no lighting or little lighting, turning on just to fill the space. There were quite a few TV screens which makes me think more money was invested in these rather than other areas.

Tickets must be booked in advance. The ticket included a shuttle bus, which you must use to enter the park trail. The buses were excellent and very efficient, there was hardly a wait despite the vast amounts of people there. The walk was well guided with stewards along the way to help. There were plenty of stops for refreshments along the way, although they were a bit expensive. We toasted marshmallows too, which was a fun activity. The storyline along the trail was “in the deep” and the theme and walk were well laid out. The lights were spectacular.

I’ve enjoyed it. Loved to see the nature in different colours and also all of the different effects. It was quite cold and raining but had the most delicious hot chocolate to warm me up and yummy warm donuts. Definitely worth the visit.

As ever a lovely evening out, even for a 17 year old son (be sure you buy food for them though - hot dogs were good). We were lucky with the weather as it was near perfect conditions. I'd say this was the best yet and we've been coming for years now. Book early to avoid disappointment though

Lovely! This is my 4th time. I love the creativity of the installations. The only bit that disappointed was the screen installations - it took away the magic & felt comparable to a sky advert. I suppose it’s cheaper than paying staff to do the story telling, but was an underwhelming component after a 2 hour drive.

We were up Scotland for a week and only found out about it towards the end of the week. The tickets online were sold out.We went round the shops in Pitlochry who advised to try the fisherman hotel (where you catch the bus from) for any left over tickets/handed in tickets.Lucky us we got the last ones at a recommendation of £25 donation to charity (In cash).The whole thing took about 2 hours in total. This was such an organised event from start to finish. You can see where the costs come from.The theme was into the deep, it was great and interactive and took about 75 minutes to walk round the 1.8km loop. The rain was pouring but it didn’t ruin it, the trees sheltered us a little.There was hot donuts, fish and chips, and churros on the loop, all at a reasonable price to be fair- cheaper than the food in Pitlochry.I would absolutely recommend this to anyone thinking about visiting.

Week day and also a rainy day but it was worth it. I recommend you to visit The Enchanted Forest it's a special experience. We had a great time for 2 and a half hours, the kids enjoyed it. The staff is very professional and kind and always helpful.

Great night out, fabulous organisation with bus pick-ups and returns all running like clockwork.Very reasonably priced to!Lots of stewards to help and keep everything. Oh and tasty food options too.

Absolutely amazing and the kids loved it. The story that we followed around the forest was great and the kids are still going on about it 4 days later. Definitely going you have the chance to

Just back from a night there with the family ( 4 adults) , great fun. We had a stroke of luck with the weather too. Great set up and food was spot too. Bring on next year !
