Grantham and District Hospital

Attended an early morning MRI appointment for my son. The staff across the board were incredibly friendly, polite, helpful and warm ❤️

Excellent service and care when I went to Out of Hours and A&E department last week, I was seen promptly and was shown care and compassion by all the staff, from receptionist, nurses, and Doctor,They work tirelessly to ensure everyone is seen and cared for, I just want to say a big thank you to all who work there.

I spent 4 days in the hospital first in the EAU and then a brief overnight in Harrowby ward. I received outstanding care from all the doctors, nurses, technicians and ancillary staff who treated me from the moment I stepped into A&E to the moment I was discharged. A big thank you to you all, especially to Krissy the respiratory nurse.

Staff at A&E were excellent. Care and attention was very prompt from booking in to seeing a doctor and nurses. Several tests were done and all the results were explained very clearly. I came away feeling very confident with the treatment I had received. Thank you A&E and Ambulatory Care.

Staff at A&E are absolutely amazing. I’ve had to take my daughter on 3 occasions over the last 2 years. Always seen quickly. Staff have always been attentive, patient and caring. Knowing how much pressure they must be under it really has been very much appreciated. So thankful to have this service nearby.

Went to the UCU at Grantham with no appointment. I was seen straight away for triage and waited 5 minutes after to see the actual doctor. All the staff I saw were very polite and kind. The doctor was very knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed following my diagnosis. The only negative was the pharmacy which closed as was all the other pharmacy's in Grantham, so I had to wait until the next day to get my medication. If the hospital is open then at least one pharmacy should be. Apart from that it was a very positive experience, which took about 1hr from start to finish.

Today I saw an ENT Consultant & nurse at Grantham ENT Outpatients. From the moment I walked in, what a lovely group of staff there from check in to the support staff & pharmacy team. If only more hospitals were like this. What made it nicer was not sitting in a waiting room full of people for hours. The consultant & his nurse were truly fantastic, understanding & very caring :-)

Today I had a very poor service at this HospitalI spent 4 hours and 50 minutes waiting watching other patients who come well after me go in and out. After 4 hours I had to ask if I had been forgotten which reception staff did not seem interested. Indeed I had been forgotten and the doctor apologised. He then proceeded to tell me that he had written a letter about my condition and mentioned what was on the Xray.The doctor then said my operation on my knee at which point I had to stop him and tell him I had had no operation. The same doctor that had seen me 3 and a half hours earlier and sent me for a xray ask me to show him my knee cap again. He then proceeded to apologise and tell me another person with my name had also been in today with the same problem.I explained that if so his date of birth would be different and his National insurance different.He left the room again and come back to me and said that my knee was OK but he would not drain the fluid that is making it look deformed and giving me pain.He did however tell meHe would give me a pain killer antiflamitory . I did say to him we all make mistakes and I complained that I would have to pay a higher parking fee due to being forgotten he said don't worry tell the reception to give you a pass.I was given no pass no medication sent home the same as when I arrived. it had taken me 3 months to visit the hospital . I completely wasted my time now I will have to visit my GP which now days is a miracle.I do not know if this consultant doctor is over tired but i do not believe I have had the service I should have received today.I appreciate hospital's become busy but a patient should not be mistaken for another. We even have a wrist band put on us on entry with our details that we have to wear. I do not believe the excuse sorry Grantham Hospital today you failed miserably
