Our first visit to Thames Vet was great! Our dog Monty had a little accident when jumping into the boot after his walk and got a nasty gash on his paw. We didn’t know how serious it was and we rushed him straight to the vets. They were happy to take him as an emergency consultation and our dog, who is usually extremely nervous of the vets was great and had a very positive experience. The vet examined his paw very carefully and then took him into the back to bandage him up. Poor Monty isn’t used to his bandage yet but I’m sure he will get used to it in no time! Thank you Thames vets!

Best vet practice in Richmond, always doing their best to help! Dougie is an excellent vet and seeing him has definitely saved our Kira, we can't express how grateful and lucky we are to now have you as a vet! I would definitely recommend the practice having been with other practices before and experienced a few issues; I can say with certainty that I have found the one for my dogs!

Can't recommend Doug and the Thames Vet team highly enough. Doug has been looking after our Giant Schnauzer for 8+ years and we're so excited to see Doug and the team open Thames Vet and for Roxy to visit. The location is excellent with plentiful parking nearby and 2 mins from the Ham Lands South Nature Reserve for walks before/after appointments.

Doug is professional and compassionate and clearly enjoys the challenges of his job. He was extremely kind and took lots of time with us and Nimbus at an incredibly sad time. Going forward it’s nice to see the same person each time you visit and build a relationship. I will be recommending him and the staff at Thames Vet.

Brought our young kitten in to be checked over , Doug was amazing we left feeling so relaxed . I keep saying it but Thames Vet are all about the Animals and not all about the money. They will do so well because they are genuinely doing a fantastic job without ripping people off .

It was my first visit to Thames Vet today. I suffer with anxiety and don’t normally go places alone but my dog needed to have a sore paw treated. I was made to feel welcome and at ease. I didn’t get names but the people are lovely and the treatment of my dog was second to none. Lots of fuss made of her and I could hear them reassuring her.I’m definitely changing from my current vet to Thames Vet. Very happy

Really pleased I made the switch to Thames Vet - so friendly and helpful and Doug is the vet I trust the most with my elderly dog’s care. It’s important to me that it’s an independent practice and fully equipped with X-ray/ ultrasound etc on site and Thames Vet has everything you could need. Archie too was much more relaxed than usual and was very happy with all the treats he received! I couldn’t be happier!

So glad to have found Thames Vet for my puppy. Independent and local, their service, attention and care reflects their heart and community-spirit of the area. Their pricing is very reasonable, I leave feeling assured that they are not trying to charge or upsell me to make a profit. All the reasons why I switched from a large veterinary group in the first place.

I had a great experience at The Thames Vet during my recent visit with my cat Sally, daughter of the more famous Zoot. The staff were truly warm and welcoming, and showed genuine care and concern for Sally's well-being. The vet, Dr Doug was highly knowledgeable and explained everything with concision and clarity. The clinic was beautifully clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment. Overall, it was a really positive and reassuring visit, and I'm grateful for the excellent care provided to Sally. Thank you very much, Doug and Pippa!

Doug is an amazing vet who has been treating my 3 dogs for several years. He is extremely caring and patient with reluctant customers (4 legged!) and nothing is too much trouble for him. It’s great to see him and his superb team strike out on their own in their lovely new practice!
